What amazes me is all of those people represented by the statues have a direct connection to New Orleans.

Lee - Louisiana tigers regiment
Beauregard - hometown
Davis - died here (private home uptown),funeral was held here, originally buried here (Metairie Cemetery).

Why remove them? It's too much I guess to ask these assholes to have a knowledge of history over 20 years ago. Maybe they should just put them in Metairie Cemetery.

What should be put in place of Lee Statue is a coffin to symbolize the real status of the current New Orleans.
