So a cross is the lead hand and a jab is someone's off hand.

I'm a righty, so punch from my right is a cross and left is a jab?

Meet me in the parking lot after school and I'll demonstrate the jab v. cross for you. pack a lunch.

Seriously, my understanding is a jab can be either hand, it is the style of punch which is executed with lead hand its a short straight stabbing punch whereas the cross is just that--a stronger punch using more body rotation usually coming across the side of the victims face.

Yes

Rear hand is a cross, and as a righty, your right hand will be rear. With few exceptions, fighters use their weak hand as their lead hand.

Blount dropped the BSU kid with he rear hand

You won't hear anyone who knows what they are talking about call a rear hand straight a Jab under any circumstance, no matter how much power is on it. .
