This is common sense to anyone without an agenda to push.
People try to act like it's an explosion of trannies and gays but really it's just chicks that like to hook up wit chicks sometimes

We used to refer to them as “LUGs”, lesbian until graduation.

Even small increases are explosions in what was historically a small population.
And if you look at it from an evolutionary biology perspective, a species whose young are basically defenseless and have to be coddled by the parents for YEARS in order to survive until reproductive age would have an extremely, extremely low of naturally occurring homosexuality or transexuality, if you believe those are natural phenomena at all.
