At this point the govt can turn off most newer ICE vehicles as well if they wanted

All have some sort of connectivity

You can bypass the connectivity on any vehicle. You cannot bypass charging a EV. Gas can be stored easily and in large quantities. Electricity is much harder and more expensive to store.

Right pretty sure they have kill switches in them now in all the newer vehicles, I think they mandated by 2026 that every new vehicle sold has a kill switch

Yep. Even though I don’t have OnStar for that very reason they send me an email telling me what my tire pressure is on my car.

I have a 2008 4WD four door Tacoma. No onstar, no gps, no satellite radio. Has 300k miles on it, still running like a champ. I'm gonna keep that truck as long as it'll crank.

...Yes, I have stickers on the back windows.
