I know someone who had it. Removed a foot of their colon. Was in the hospital a few days after for recovery. Was a pretty rough recovery but the good news is you're in the hospital for the first 3-5 days so they can manage the pain much better with more and better drugs since they can dictate how much you take. If you work manual labor you will not be able to work for a while but an office job you could probably be back in a few weeks.

Yup. I had 8 inches of my
Colon removed.. it ended up not working and had to get an ostomy… it sucks but I got used to it.
