JD won us some games we should not have won with his legs this year, but by golly seeing Nuss air it out like that yesterday was like an acid flashback to Joey B. 2019

Mainly because he couldn’t win with his arm because he’s scared to throw it downfield

Overreact much? Did JB ever turn the ball over 2 times in a half?

This is the whole reason that he started. CBK knew the offensive line would get a drop-back guy like Nuss killed until they developed, which they did over the course of the season. So he started JD in order to mask that issue (although he still got sacked 40+ times). It worked perfectly until the last couple of games in the season, when JD just looked terrified to throw the ball & could no longer beat teams with his legs.
