A friend got me involved in a Christian finance group - not Dave Ramsey, but a lot of the same principles. I joined the group in December and the group leaders seemed shady. They were pitching something to these unsuspecting, uneducated financially church going people that just didn't pass the smell test.

I did some outside research and brought my concerns to the group a couple weeks ago. The leaders used scripture to discount my concerns and started motivating the people with prosperity gospel garbage. No big deal, I didn't really need them, but I hated to see my friend caught up in it.

On February 1, the group leaders were arrested for fraud. They were scamming the hell out of these people, just like I figured. Someone quietly took my concerns and found the same conclusions. Some of these people just lost their life savings - in a Christian investing club. And some of them are still "rebuking the enemy for this attack."

Its just sad to me that people would use Christianity to steal from people.
