The SEC Championship Game and Bowl Games are the same season as the 12 scheduled games. There is no tournament, therefore there is no "post season."

Chizik should have suspended each for 2 quarters of the remainder of the game but then lifted the suspensions after one quarter if they were losing to Louisiana Monr...sorry, Oregon....
