probably because his defenses before will and kirby were underwhelming.
and that was in a pretty watered down time as for as offensive schemes....

but they need to get a running game. or at least understand what parts of the game you need to run and put a team away. therefore, not blow double digit leads....

we run the ball because we have talented backs, a great defense, and a qb thats's about to play only his 7th game in college.

he went to the coaches and said he wanted to play wr in 09. that set him back. we were still throwing it a lot back then.
in 10, we switched to more of a run first offense and a lot of zone read with jj. lookin back, he wouldve been perfect for that offense but it was too late....
