Here's the thing - A&M doesn't want another coach half-way to retirement that has accolades. They want a rising coach, specifically a young one. They want someone who knows the SEC.
That's why Dan Lanning is the best fit but not available, reportedly.
And no, I don't think Eli is tied to Miz...

No matter what you say, Mizzou might have a good squad but Florida's depth was astonishingly good. Those back-ups would have started at other programs. Notably the offensive line and the the back-up qb....
