right, because there's nothing like getting liquored up before a game and then going in to eat greasy Varsity food.

Sounds like a good way to start the day to me

WTF if they just gave the Varsity the food vending contract they would sell 10 fold what this garbage will bring and people would not leave sick and nauseous either.

That would require them seriously upgrading the bathrooms and adding more stalls!!

If you start your gameday any other way you are doing it wrong

I love the upgrades the past few years. Opening up the 100 level concourses to where you have an unobstructed view of the field (I think they did that prior to last season) was huge. Better concessions (THANK GOD the wire screens are gone) and better options are big too.

Overall I don't really see any way to complain. For those thumbing your noses up at Subway..you're there to watch a football game and get drunk, not have a fine dining experience. If you're so concerned about the food choices, eat whatever 5 star meal you want at your tailgate and go the 4 hours in the stadium without food, you'll be alright.

I don't want Subway drunk let alone sober. It just seems like a weird choice when you're allowed to choose between Subway and anything other than Subway.

I wonder if they'll put the Subway stands next door to all of the bathrooms. You know, really capture that I-75 at the GA/FL line feel.

It's easy and mass marketable, like big bang theory. That show absolutely sucks dong but it's always the #1 comedy on TV. Because people don't have to think, it's lazy and cheap and appeals to a very wide audience.

Sure there are much, much better things to eat than subway, but it's something that everyone is familiar with and it doesn't take much prep time.

I'm going to host a sandwich table right in front of Subway. Fin's sanwiches come in a variety of sizes: small, medium, large, and regret. Also, no circle meat.

Because they're not a vending service provider.I certainly wouldn't mind having their food at Sanford (nothing special but not horrible)

They have Varsity at the GA Dome. Or at least they did a million years ago when I was last there..

by FinleyStreet Oh good they're adding subway, mmm who doesn't love meat slices in concentric circles

Pretty much every cut of "meat" at Subway and every vegetable in the trough tastes the exact same..

Kind of like cardboard/styrofoam with a hint of what it actually is....and with an aftertaste of that weird smell that all Subways smell like.

Blindfolded, I bet you couldn't tell the difference between any of the sandwiches. Or whether a cucumber slice was a "tomato"

Correct, but he was talking about them taking over the services at Sanford (along with obviously selling their food)

Fun fact: The Subway Cold Cut which has "Ham", "Salami", and "Bologna" on it does not actually contain ham, salami, or bologna.

quote:

COLD CUT COMBO: Turkey Bologna: Mechanically separated turkey, water, contains less than 2%
of: salt, corn syrup solids, potassium lactate, dextrose, sodium diacetate, sodium erythorbate, sodium
nitrite, flavorings. Turkey Ham: Cured turkey thigh meat, salt, contains less than 2% of: potassium
lactate, brown sugar, sodium tripolyphosphate, dextrose, sodium diacetate, sodium erythorbate, smoke
flavor, sodium nitrite, water. Turkey Salami: Dark turkey, mechanically separated turkey, water, salt,
contains less than 2% of: potassium lactate, sugar, sodium tripolyphosphate, dextrose, spice and
flavorings, sodium diacetate, sodium erythorbate, smoke flavor, sodium nitrite

From here: LINK

I get that bologna is mystery meat to begin with...but regardless, the sandwich that supposedly has pig on it has no pig on it, only turkey.

honest question: why do so many black people order the cold cut combo at subway? Seems like everytime I'm in there (which is not very often at all btw), a minority is ordering the CCC slathered with mayo. Something that simple it seems like you'd just make at home.

UGA needs to reach out to Zaxby's and/or Larry's Giant subs to have locations in the stadium.
