Tallying up for succession...
Timber
Chicken
Tobacco
Peaches
Apples
Pecans
Peanuts
A plethora of working class migrant labor.
A multitude of local banking operations.
Several colleges and universities, covering everything from medical schools to agriculture, and numerous trade schools.
A large port on a 40' bluff that is hurricane-proof, and several hundred miles of coastline to generate tourism dollars and sell seafood.
A nexus of railroad lines that remains a national hub of commerce going back since before the war of northern aggression.
The busiest passenger airport in the world, which isn't just about passengers, but all of the cargo.
One of the busiest hubs for data traffic in the country, with much of the nation's fiber optic infrastructure terminating in Atlanta, thus all of the data centers popping up there.
Large manufacturing base from Kia, Gulf Stream, Catepillar, Citrus Magic, Zoom, Big Green Egg, Carolina Skiff, and thousands of others.
We would probably have to let the US keep their bases here, which could be a good thing because they generate money as well. The soldiers and employees and contractors on site are being paid by US taxpayers, and then spending that money in Georgia. That's a good thing. It's the same reason Germany and places in Asia don't mind US bases set up there.
What else do we have?

What do u think about the fact we own Carolina Skiff?

Fyi, most of ga'peaches are exported so they are picked before ripe. Sc peaches are picked closer to ripe, and at the highway fruit stand, will taste better, generally speaking, not always. We are still the peach masters.
