They (Tree Lounge Co.) were based in Cumming and the man who founded the company turned it into a multi-million dollar business. But he died some years ago and I think his wife carried on the business for awhile but it was eventually acquired by someone else (maybe foreign?) who couldn't make a go of it.

I got one of their later stands which are supposedly significantly lighter than the early ones they manufactured--mine is powder coated aluminum and I have basically all the accessories you could get with it.

I hunt from the ground a lot especially when it gets cold but it is my go to climbing stand when I need one and you can get way up in a pine with it.

Is your stand round tubing or square?

I have the rounded or what I would call more of semi-rounded tubing on my stand. I think the original ones had the square tubing according to the discussion in this thread. LINK

It can still be a load to carry with all the accessories on there but we almost always hunt on our own land so I can generally drive fairly close to where I'm going to put up the stand.

Mine is the original square tubed heavy bitch. I try to keep mine as close to the roads as possible.

Okefenokee Joe is from Ohio, not Georgia. Kind of ironic, Jefferson lauding a Yankee.
