That was more Maddux, Glavine and Smoltz than Bobby, but yes he presided over a championship team which Richt will never do.

Reminds me of Stafford, Green, and Moreno. Minus the title

No use arguing any longer. I guess it doesn't matter why we lose. Lets just hope we get lucky with the next hire.
No one here is going to have the specific details you're looking for. We can all point to big things like roster mismanagement, mostly ignoring the LOS (particularly the OL) in recruiting for years, holding on to assistants long after its clear they're not suitable for the job, etc but you're asking for details about inner workings from people on a message board.

But it's not hard to look at it even with the limited information we have and realize something is very wrong.

If I hire someone to do a job and they can't do it right, I don't care why they can't do it. I go find someone who can.

“We need to guard our words, because in emotional times things get said, things get tweeted, things get out there that most of the time you regret,” Richt said."

Has anybody ever heard Richt say anything like this? This tells me there are some big time locker room problems right now. Hell, I guess Richt doing an unricht move and starting Bauta was telling of that narrative.

I posted, for the first time ever, that I was done with richt after the tech abomination last year. I think that's significant because I have been here a while and always defended richt. I was done with him last November. If there wasn't a great hire there, I'm ok with this year just because I don't care , but richt is done. It's over now. Let's do something different , anything.

I'm as big of a UGA fan as anyone but I swear that this fanbase is terrible when it comes to what we "deserve". We haven't won a national championship in 35 years yet everyone expects us to win it every year just because we are UGA and we have all these advantages. Other than physical proximity to in-state talent, what advantages do we have that most other SECs don't?

It is crazy to think that UGA doesn't deserve better than 8-4 with all the money the program brings in and all the talent that is within our borders. I guess Richt is just doing the best he can with the limited resources and limited talent to recruit from. Not to mention FLorida has a bunch of talent as well.

FooMan you are just a pussy. What has Richt done that is worth keeping? Let me guess, you must like him as a person and think he is the only good coach out there? I think it is an insult to other coaches in America when everyone talks about how good of a person Richt is, like these other coaches aren't good people either. I guess when you can't beat ranked teams and lose to shitty teams, that is about the only good thing people can say about you.

2. There's more to winning than just showing up, as winning games is the result of many things that happen on and off the field. Those "things" are what I'm asking about. You know, specifics.
You are like a broken record. This is the only argument you have b/c no one has an answer for it. Unless someone is on the coaching staff or sees what goes on behind the scenes on a daily basis, then we will never be able to answer this for you. No one know what Saban, Meyer, Richt does behind the scenes. What we do know as fans, is what they do or don't do on Saturdays. We do know as fans, that Richt has a losing record vs ranked teams in the past 10 years. We know Richt likes to lose to shitty teams, like UF last year, Vandy, Mizz, Colorado, etc. We know Richt can make bone head coaching decisions in game, like 1st and goal vs USC last year, the squib kick vs GT last year, not spiking the ball vs Bama in '12, the constant mismanagement of our players.

Richt's best years came when he first got here, but he has declined big time but then again the SEC as a whole stepped its game up while Richt got comfortable in mediocrity.
