Murray, Gilmer or Fannin would be ideal for me...then I could continue my search for the moon eyed people and Cherokee gold.

I just got back from a poker game and had a text that said Grangham to Louisville. I'm not reading six pages so wtf did I miss?

Grantham called athletics director Greg McGarity on Saturday to let him know that he would be talking with Louisville, as Grantham is required to do per his contract.

"Todd called me Saturday to let me know that Louisville wanted to talk to him," McGarity said, on Sunday evening. "I said thanks for calling. That was it."

My wife's family has a cabin up in Gilmer that we love to go to. I wouldn't mind relocating up there as well.

It loses a little impact in bullet form, but the article was very much written in a "no excuses, get this shite done" tone. Six to midnight shite

God has a way of messing with you. When I was growing up I couldn't wait to get away from home and out of those mountains ..... and now it looks like I'll spend the rest of my life trying to get back...

I doubt we'd announce a DB coach hire before DC

The only way they hire a DB coach before a DC is if they have already reached an agreement (which would be lightning fast) and the new DC gave the nod.

Before a DC can be officially named, the job must be posted for 2 weeks and 3 candidates must be interviewed. Players and recruits will be told before the official announcement, so everyone will likely already know who it is.

I won't believe KS is coming until he's introduced at a press conference. I (and others) have posted about it before, but he did everything a candidate could possibly do last time besides actually put ink to paper. He shook our hand. He told us he was coming. He agreed to the terms.

Then he got back to tuscaloosa and saban locked the 2 of them in his office and shite talked Richt's stability and our program so much that kirby chickened out. KS is a good coordinator and I'd be a dummy not to want him to come here (damn sure better than grantham), I'm just saying we've seen this happen before and rest assured there are a LOT of big timers who make decisions who haven't forgotten that shite either.

Alas..time heals all wounds. If a lot of the big timers out there like Narduzzi, Pruitt, et al were really interested and it wasn't mid January, I'd say we wouldn't even really show interest in Kirby. But being that he's clearly the #1 guy on the board right now, bama appears to be sliding down from the apex of the mountain right now, bama just hired one dumbfrick and might be close to hiring another dumbfrick...it's almost like a perfect storm.

Not saying it won't happen, I'm just saying I'm sure as shite not getting my hopes up at the moment.
