I am hoping Smart would help change the program's demeanor and methods and that'd be big in the negotiations. A promise for an IPF, assistants, etc like Franklin asked for when he became Vandy HC. Do that while offering ungodly cash and a promise to be our HC in the next few years

What makes you all think Richt won't go the "continuity" route and hire Kirk Olivadotti on the cheap? He's already familiar with the defense (and the recruits), he wouldn't cost too much, and Bobo wouldn't get uncomfortable...

POJ I agree with you, but I don't think that's an issue of not wanting to spend the money. I think it's an issue of being to ignorant, too unwilling to change, too old, too complacent, a variety of other issues you can think of for us justifying why it isn't necessary...but I don't think it's because we don't want to spend on it.

I don't think so cause of the state of the program and the growing impatience. Maybe if the rest of our athletics were doing well but truth is our athletics are in a terrible rut that even McG acknowledged. I think everyone knows this is big to maintain confidence.
