I was leaning more toward the boat option because I thought it would be really cool but as deeprig did not exactly come out and volunteer the use of his flatbottom/jon boat it sounds like I'm on my own. I'm not sure we could actually get up into Tanyard Creek/Branch from the river and I understand security is pretty tight in that tunnel going under the stadium. I don't know if there are still any goats around there eating invasive plants--at some point some were supposed to have been turned loose on the creek to forage. LINK

If I opt for the bicycle mode of travel should I wear a helmet or do I really need one?

Privet infestation in Georgia.

UGA has allowed goats to help control it in state owned areas.

The goats don't last long before coyotes or Mexicans get them.

I've heard BBQ goat is actually quite good.

You ever cook any of it on your smoker?

No. I'm civilized.

But all the authentic mexican places in town have it on the menu.

Barbacoa de chivo... and it's legit. Should not defile your smoker with the meat... but if someone else wants to do it for you... it's delicious.

Also, while on my ventures in Athens it would be nice if I could possibly meet the UGA fan in fibonaccisquared's avatar. If this could be set up it would be lovely.

Are you able to carry your boat down a hill?

You said Jet Drive... those are generally not carryable.

There was a place north of Athens on Jefferson hwy back in the woods that sold Goat barbecue. I stopped there once and didn't eat the goat - I got a pulled pork sandwich and a bowl of hash.

Their hash was okay - but it had a grayish tint and a unique flavor.

I didn't stop there again.

This is a personal preference but I would recommend one. Also make sure to bing your chain so you can lock the bike up at the stadium when you get there.

I assume there were two big white towers there.

The Mexicans have totally taken over that area, MS13 and shite. Legit the cops don't even go there anymore. I used to live there.

Jefferson River Road, Vincent Drive, Oconee Heights.

Take hwy 15 south out of watkinsville, ramp on your left at the river about 6 miles south. But you won't make it to stadium bc dam at barnett shoals.

Well I guess you can kick me out now. How does my new sig fit me (I assume it's working - I'm on mobile and can't tell)??

Looks like UGA is legit peoples. Kirby has them kids ballin' out, especially on D.

PS - You don't really have to kick me out. I'll be stopping by during the rest of the season to chat with you guys.

Good luck the rest of the way.
