Plan on coming over Saturday for the game. Will be my first game in Athens, have been wanting to come to a game there for a while. Hoping to be in the area around 2:00. Any recommendations of stuff to hit up before the game??? Would prefer to stick around the stadium.
Any advice on parking. Is their paid public parking with easy access, etc.???
Any other insight you can offer would be appreciated as well.

Best place to park is North Rock Springs and Reese Street. There is a lot there for White Power Company. They charge $5 and give you a golf cart ride to the stadium. If you can't find it, just stick your hand out the window and yell white power. The neighborhood folks will point you in the right direction.

Bars and restaurants dt are right across the street from campus and close to stadium. My favorite bar is generals.
There are parking garages throughout campus and the classic center has parking down town. I think it's $40.
My advice would be to get in town Friday, hit the bars and get up Saturday and hop back on that pony. This is going to be the biggest game day of the year in athens. It will be a hell of a party.

I wish I could get into town on Friday. I have to show up at work Saturday morning to get the day rolling (I'm a Safety Rep) so it will be 10:00 AM at the earliest before I can head out.
I don't mind paying for parking as I know how much of a hassle it is just finding somewhere to park at any campus.

I am safety manager to, just have the foreman do the Tool Box meeting and you can head into town on Friday. It is football season just tell them not to screw something up and you will be back Monday.

Blind Pig Tavern on Washington is a good place to eat and drink and they have plenty of TVs to watch the games during the day. Little Italy if you want good pizza and $6 pitchers of terripin rye or hopsicutioner. They also have some TVs.

You don't have to worry about that. I'm not one of those fans. While I enjoy our traditions, it's like anything else, it can be overdone or pushed to limits.

Thanks. Looking forward to a very good game. Regardless of whether we win or lose it'll be great to see another SEC stadium and check it off my list.

You are kidding... but close to there really is some secret parking... walk down Hancock straight into town. I used to live in that neighborhood.
