I never jumped off. I just stopped watching for a couple of games because I became too emotional over it.

I'm not trying to be critical but there was no need for trick plays yesterday.

Disagree. Goal line offense has been terrible all season and Auburn has monsters on the DL. That comes with a freshman qb (everyone wanting him to get the start this offseason had to know this was coming ) and an OL who can't win the LOS off the snap.

Trying to make anything work when you know what you've been doing hasn't been working all season.

Defense has improved throughout the year imo

Agreed. The defense looked completely lights out yesterday. We have to consider that Sean White has a sore arm, and hey have nobody else that can pass. Add to that, that their #1 running back was injured and did not play. However, the defense did look exceptional.

Offense has not. Jacob looked about as good as he has all year last night, but poor play calling held him and the team.

Yes and no. I liked the playcalling. I know I am swimming upstream by saying this. I still believe Chaney is taking it slow so Eason can adapt and learn slowly. It seems the play book is opening up slowly.

Idk if Kirby will fire Chaney, but he should. Kirby should ask Muschamp what loyalty to a shite OC will get you.

You could be right, but I really don't want to start firing OC's every year. Recruits won't like it one bit. I would say give Chaney a couple more years to get everybody he needs and Eason up to spedd. I would wager that we see a big improvement next year.

We have always been talented. The problem is that most of that talent is in our freshman and sophomore classes. Experience matters a lot. Plus our offensive line is still serviceable at best, but they did a good job for most part yesterday.

Once change that has been understated is just how drastically our secondary has improved since Juwuan Briscoe was benched. He was killing us.

That works both ways. Our defense was without Natrez Patrick (possibly the highest draft pick prospect among our linebackers).

3 weeks ago peoole were talking about how this was the least talented Georgia team and decades andbthere will only be 2 plays drafted and we should get rid of everyone etc.

I know that's just reactionary, etc but I'm joking

We have different wr's, and they are better.

You would have liked it a lot more if Godwin had turned around and looked at Chubb. There was no one within 10 yards of him and had Godwin thrown to him, he would have walked in for a TD.

No we don't. We have the exact same receivers we had at the beginning of the year. If the coaches were not playing them, or they were not getting them the ball, then that is on the coaches.

That's on the coaches. In fairness, we haven't played a good passing team of late, either.

True. Hindsight is always 20/20. However, part of what I didn't like about the play is you have an inexperienced player making QB type decisions. I realize Godwin played some QB in HS, but it's been awhile, and he is not used to making those type decisions now. Hence, when he threw the interception. In a meaningless Bowl game, I tend to think try any and all things fun. In a tight game situation i tend to play it a little safer.

However, our coaches get paid good money to make decisions like that. Just because I didn't care for it, doesn't necessarily mean it was bad.

Have not jumped off the train. On the train until end of 2018. Then at the end of 2018 I'll evaluate and decide if staying on the train is the right decision.

I don't get the "train" thing. I want UGA to win every game. Criticizing a coach and staff is within our rights at any time. Especially if it is stuff within their control. It's funny how several people around the program have stated things were simplified in the last two games and all of a sudden, the offense looks better and this talentless* team all of a sudden beats two pretty good football teams. We are a couple of good descisions/ plays away from looking at a 10 win season. Water under the bridge, but I think we are starting to see that this was not an insurmountable talent situation. I hope this trend continues.

Muschamp had 3 OCs in 4 years, so not sure that's the lesson Kirby should take.

Self promotion is not becoming especially when you have provided no evidence to support this claim. Given your professional background I don't doubt that it's true but I haven't seen you support this statement. Perhaps I overlooked one or more of your posts. I haven't read the press releases, etc. so a simple quote/link from one of our coaches will suffice; maybe a comment by Coach Pittman saying: yea, we simplified the blocking scheme and that made the difference or a video sequence that documents your contention. Keep in mind that I'm just an ignorant Georgia girl/fan so keep it simple so I can understand.

Out of curiosity....how the heck can he support it? If you don't see it, then he can't prove it.
I'm not sure what he is supposed to do or say to prove it.

You will never hear a coach say something like that. That would be admitting that he stuck with a scheme that was not working for 8 games. Not good coaching would you say? You MIGHT see a coach say something like "We shook some things up." or "I can see we are making some progress."....but how many times have you seen a coach say he is a bad coach? They MIGHT say that after one game....but never, "I screwed up for 8 games."

I don't think you are ignorant. But you do allow your own feelings and opinions to get in the way of objective reasoning and analysis.

ETA
If it was all talent like you were espousing just a short time ago....what happened? We have the same players. Kirby doesn't have "his players" on the roster yet.

Im sorry what I'm saying doesn't fit your narrative, but the proof is on tape. I'm sure folks have been talking about it and something will be written on it if it hasn't already... if you don't believe me, that's fine... your problem... keep listening to the frickheads who only know how to crunch recruiting matrices and occasionally yell double coverage during a football game as their greatest insight...

Seriously tho.... football is about talent and execution. Average talent that executes well can do very well. We were not putting them in scenarios where they could execute. That got a lot better in the last 2 games.
