I understand that lower IQ types are threatened by some basic words... It's cool though...

The intent was tongue-in-cheek, and I thought it was obvious. Thus no smiley face emoticon. Whatever happened to shiny and happy, Peter? You're kind of dull and grumpy these days.

All the gag-inducing “vast retinues“ and “thus”s and “shalls” etc are no different than some kid putting a spoiler and racing graphics and neon paint on his Ford Escort. Strip these embarrassing things away and there’s still nothing but a turd underneath.

Douche bags are just hoping you don’t notice this fact. And apparently some don’t. Which makes it even more depressing.

Oh, what a delicious use of "thus" kind sir. Chortles all around, indeeeed. It appears thusly though that you have endeavered in an ill conceived measure contrary to vast retinue. Which is ever so thus. Shall it ever more be said. ANd Hark! Thus!

Hark! good sirs... Alas, the sorrows of injury have arrived upon Michel with the ides of summer. Thusly though, will we allowist thou spirits to weep for this folly? Art we to dwell thusly in vast dismal retinues? No, I cry! We canst not! We shall ever more hark and thus! Go dawgs. Sic thou!!!

Hmmm, someone hasn't been getting enough attention around here lately and is now lashing out. Quick, someone say something nice about the Hunger Games (MF'er!!) before he starts cutting himself.

As of right now, please now longer use the word "thus" in posts. Use "hence" instead.

This is effective immediately.

Once again Douglas steps up to pull our arse out of the fire and all we'll hear is about how bad he sucks.

Remember when Gurley and Marshall ruled our thoughts and then a little freshman ran wild on just a few carries against Clemson. I hope one of our freshman backs will take advantage of the opportunity to let UNC and the world know that we have a spare clip behind Chubb and Sony (assuming he wears a cast, Chubb and Clubb?)

Maybe we can get our own chortling emoticon for the yeGSB too. Thus to enrich our vast retinues of high-browed parlance ever so. Perchance a yellow smiley face with its lower jaw jutting out in mid chortle wouldbe suitable.

I get the analogy. But in the interests of reality, I've actually owned a one legged duck, sir. And it does not swim in circles. In fact, it paddles with it's one foot and then uses same foot as a rudder to swim as it wills.

There. And thus ends the one-legged duck analogy. May it R.I.P.

This is humor. Arcane unfathomable and bizarre, but we can all relate, particularly because the OP was about Michel's injury.

I'm still laughing.

Indeed! I musn’t have chortled this much since I was a boy summering in Lancashire rehearsing sonnets with the help! Oh how I can still see poor Mildred stumbling and straining to annunciate properly the prose of the great Bard of Avon! Oh.... chortle chortle forgive me dear Mildred...

Spot-on assessment about Douglas. The drive to close out the SCar game in '13 was a thing of beauty, but he coughs the ball up at what can only appear to be the least opportune times. His ball security concerns me, even though it's driven by a heart of gold.

I know he bit us a couple of times as a freshman, but I don't remember him doing that as much the last two years. I tried to find the stats on how often hae fumbled the last two years, but couldn't find it.

Can anybody find this, or does anybody happen to know? I did see where his playing time has been cut each year the last two years. (Or at least, he was given fewer carries)
