Again...find in my post history an example of this. I am a fan of the University.

I didn't say you did.

As opposed to those

THIS is what I said. But I am sure you saw those who claimed to be great UGA fans because they wanted Richt gone, and several said they wanted us to lose the remaining games.

I don't doubt this. But I can also show you many of your posts that indicate the biggest reason you did not like Richt was because he was a Christian. I said the BIGGEST reason. You have mocked his faith more than you have criticized his shortcomings as a coach, and you are simply incapable of admitting he is a very good coach.

I'm in no way speaking for HRD, but I think his feelings are against those who ademately support Richt because of his faith regardless of his on the field results.

Please let's get a guy that can at least show up for the big games.

You DO know that Herman was beaten by UConn, right? Isn't that one of the main compalints (that even I made) about Richt? He lost to teams he shouldn't have lost to?

Then I will borrow a page from his book. Please show me posts where ANYBODY said UGA should keep Richt because of his religion. I can defend his on field results. They speak for themselves. His shortcomings do, too. We all know them.

If you can find me a coach who hasn't lost to teams he "shouldn't" to I'll give you a dollar.

You don't really see it on here, but social media is rampant with it.

Not so sure, they have passed for over 3,000 yards, 67%, 9 yards per reception, 20 TDs and 6 ints. Not too shabby and better than UGA in every category.

Where would you go?

True. And yet, that was some peoples biggest complaint about Richt.

I honestly don't know much about Herman. I know a lot of people were high on him and Fuentes. Fuentes is gone. It looks (from reports) that it is down to Herman, Smart and Fuentes.

My personal opinion is that they are already in talks with somebody. They KNOW who the next guy is, if they can come to an agreement on a contract.

Like we have lost Chubb, Marshall, Gurley, etc?

Amazing how the very arguments used to fire Richt are now being used to defend Herman.

I can see where you'd infer that, but it's not the case. I ABHOR his PROTECTED STATUS amongst Christians due to him wearing it on his sleeve.

I am quite sure our next coach will be a Christian man. I could care less. Just win. However, when it's time for you to get the frick on, I'm going to be quite upset if you play up to the Christian crowd in order to extend your welcome.

Dig?

Nine wins a year, 2 SEC Championships. He is a very good coach. Or was. But stayed way past his welcome, in my view.

The first part of that paragraph is patently untrue. I'd say it's about even. But again, it's never the faith itself being mocked (and there are many reasons to mock faith of any sort), but the "protected status" that came with it.

Bye-bye, Richt. Go do good.

Hey look....I got no problem with you guys. All I am saying is let's at least use the same yardstick when gauging coaches. I mean really....you are going to trash people because they are a Christian?

Does that REALLY seem ok with you? I mean...trash him for losing to teams he shouldn't. Trash him because he never won a Natty. But when you trash people for their beliefs you are trashing everyone who holds those same beliefs.

i didn't want Richt fired. He is. It sucks. I realize we now have to hope for the best hire. I believe Tom Herman is that guy. He's undefeated this season when his starting QB plays the whole game this year in a conference that is arguably tougher than the ACC. His offense at Ohio State was fantastic, and he's completely revamped a Houston offense that struggled last year. He's young as well.

Kirby Smart, never been a head coach.

Dan Mullen, well if we think Richt struggled against ranked teams go look at Mullen's record. One of the worst in FBS by people not named Butch Jones.

Losing a QB in his offense doesn't compare considering QB is the MOST important position in the game you weeny... And furthermore... UGA has great talent at RB and had even more depth/talent last year. Bye Richt... Thanks dick head... weeeeeeee!
