Great post and insight Tyler - I agree 100%

I HATE losing to the North Avenue Trade School, BUT we lose 1 every 8 - 10 years (kind of like Bama to Ole Miss). If we had to drop one, this was the year to do it, with not much on the line.

I also think that the future looks very bright for our team.

All we can say is hats off to the nerds; they just wanted it more today... Hope they beat Free Shoes U to make this close loss look better.

Well, I don't mind having a different opinion from the consensus. I'm even willing to debate it without resorting to insults, but I understand that's not a popular tactic on the internet.

As for Bobo, my guess is that he's being groomed as our next head coach. Wouldn't be my choice, but there are other things that concern me a lot more, so it's not worth trading insults.

Lot of good points from Durden as usual, but the future has been bright for an awfully long time now. It's time for some damn results.

Thanks for articulating nicely what I was trying to say.

Had you told me preseason we'd finish the season9-4 or 10-3, given the massive Ttrition and new staff I wouldn't have loved it but I would hav excepted it. Face it: this program has no quickfix or missing link that will cure our ills. Not that I can see anyway

Sooner rather than later, I would hope most of you Dawg fans would adjust your expectations just a bit. UGA is not a national championship caliber program.

Not right now. Changes finally occurring to put us in position is the point I'm hitting at. But of course that's been said before so I don't expect all to agree or see it that way

Georgia has had every bit the amount of talent on the roster that most of the recent title game participants have, save for 2011 Alabama. Given the caliber of the roster, there is no reason whatsoever to not expect to be in the title discussion in December every season.

Ugas a national title discussion program. We're working to actually be a contender. We're always discussed but never chosen

Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel like most of the pro-richt camp is 25ish or younger. They're too young to really grasp the shortcomings of this staff year after year. Richts freshman year at UGA was also mine. Been watching him shite on the field while some of y'all were still shitting your pants. What we've seen him do is all we will see him do. I hate it, but it's true. It doesn't matter, though, because he's not going anywhere. By the time we make it to the natty my titties will be at my knees.

Well I have been watching for many more years than you have. Richt is an excellent coach and with a break or two could already have a natty. He continues to improve the staff and the recruiting is boosting up. I watched donnan and goff after Dooley left and I understand what shitting the bed really looks like. There are few better than Richt out there. And if you are flexible enough you should already touch your knees to your titties.

This.

I'm as frustrated as everyone else that we haven't gotten over the natty hump, but a nuclear option (as a few have suggested) is not the answer. If there was a simple formula to a title, everyone would copy it.

You need talent, coaching, planning, execution, and yes, even some luck to win it all, unless you have an unreal team that no one can touch. Most teams don't have that, so they need everything to "click" at the right moment.

Other than the decades of not being in it? At some point, patterns become traditions.
