I'm not convinced about the recruiting yet. We've picked up some guys who appear to be projects. I also wish we'd get another big DT recruit.

Ledbetter and Thompson can and will play from Day 1 Recruiting has been nothing but stellar this year.

Still not sold on Bobo. He's a good coach, but not a great game planner and play caller IMO. Ted Roof out-coached him today.

Oh good lord.

Hopefully our depth will continue to improve and we'll make it through the offseason without decimating an entire position group like we did in 2014. That would be a huge plus if we could start the season without playing walk-ons.

We decimated the DBs this offseason because Tray and Shaq were cancers and arse holes. The team is flat out better without them. Period. JHC is the only one I could have seen an argument for keeping because he was booted for what I personally think is a stupid rule.

No no no, it was because Pruitt didn't want them. He "processed" them, remember? We were gonna be "just fine" on defense, remember?

The only one that was truly processed was wiggins. The other two really fricked themselves.

these "positives" will result in the same old season we have been experiencing for some time now..so if that is a positive, then YEAH!

Yeah I mean our future is still bright (it usually is) and it's not like we were in a "win now because we are gonna have some obvious down years" situation.

Getting tired of looking for next year, though. That's probably unfair since we were so close just a few years ago. We are probably spoiled to be honest.

It sucks but short of winning a national title, that's how it's going to feel. We've achieved everything a program can achieve short of a national title. I'm not so sure making the game itself would even feel good. If anything, losing the national title game would only make the mountain seem even greater. Regardless of the coach, we're so starved for a title at this point that anything else seems disappointing.

That's my opinion, didn't expect it to be that of the board. I don't think Bobo matches up well against better defensive coordinators. Even with the bad turnovers, the single biggest reason we lost today is that Ted Roof outcoached Bobo. That will happen again.

Those aren't the ones I was referring to. Georgia doesn't "process" players like Bama, so we can't afford to take too many projects.

I'm not denying that. Just saying it will be nice to have a decent two deep going into the season. The last two fall camps have been a Chinese fire drill because of attrition.

He's put up 40+ points against two defensive coordinators who are Broyles finalists.

Our Oline got whipped today.

every other coach has done a phenomenal job this year.

See, this is where I would disagree, respectfully of course, so there's no reason to press the issue any further.

Phenomenal is a rather a bold adjective to use IMO.

No. No it's not.

An OC has to be able to do more than call plays on gameday. They are also in charge of taking all the individual units and coaching them on how to operate cohesively on every single play in the playbook (which, in the case of UGA, is very big). Bobo does a fantastic job. Bobo didn't fumble twice on the goal line. Bobo didn't throw a pick from the 9. Bobo didn't get his arse beat on the line and limit any sort of run game possibility. He did, however, call enough of a game to keep us alive and winning for a time

I'm not sure what Bobo could do today when the entire OL was getting manhandled, expecially in the 2nd half. All I wish he could do now is challenge Richt on Richt's philosophy of "boatloads of skill players" and a few 3 star OL if we can fit them in.

remember the OLs with Stinchcomb and Terry..we haven't had much like that under Coach ridge

This x1000. There wasn't a way to scheme around what was happening to our OL on a majority of series. They played great in the first quarter but it got to where Chubb got hit almost right after the handoff whether up the middle or on the edge. And Mason had guys on him by time he turned around several times.

This was a bad year, it doesn't matter how you spin it. The SEC East was so terrible:

1. Mizzou won the division two years in a row
2. South Carolina finishes the season 6-6 with a loss to clemson
3. Florida fired their coach
4. Kentucky isn't bowl eligible
6. Tennessee might be 6-6 after today
7. Georgia had the last place west team on it's schedule
8. Georgia to a less talented Georgia Tech team

*With all of these things happening this year, we only end up with 9 wins. Losing that last game knocked us out of any big 6 bowl discussion. This turned out to be a one of the biggest under-achieving years in Georgia history with the condition of the SEC east.

And for God's sake, please get the stupid Terershinkis out of there.

There is a 100% chance Georgia will blow it's halftime lead in the bowl game.

S&C is finally getting a much needed revamp this offseason.

Hasn't that sort of been a thing for years now? Every year we're told it's "new and improved".

Also kind of a recurring theme, unfortunately. Mostly because that "seemingly" is one hell of a qualifier.

Sometimes when an OL just gets "whipped", it's because the defense puts more bodies at the point of attack than they can handle. The onus is on an OC to adjust and go where the bodies aren't, or use misdirection and surprise to catch them out of containment. Bobo focuses more on execution, but he's not good at strategy, IMO.

Lot of good points from Durden as usual, but the future has been bright for an awfully long time now. It's time for some damn results.
