I thought Carlin Fils-aime already had an offer.
Yea he's had an offer for quite awhile. Just felt dissed last night cause he didn't get a one on one with CMR.

shite got cray last night & the coaches/support staff did the best they could do at damage control. In the long run tho last night was a big positive & a learning experience cause it's only gonna get bigger & hopefully better...

The bams are starting to get a little bit worried about Shyheim Carter. Apparently he loves him some Pruitt.

Granted, we probably need to plan better to be ready for Dawg Night crowds to be nuts, but I imagine the goal isn't a DN commitment so much as it is showing the seeds for an OV during the fall, so they can really roll out the red carpet when the kid and his family comes back.

The Miami RB is the only thing I've heard negative about last night. Most were blown away. With the quality of players we had in Athens last night, most of those guys are gonna announce later in the year. We're in the top 5-10 for most of them tho... Last year with Cleveland & Eason is a rarity, usually get the high 3's & low 4's committing at an event like Dawgnight..

frick it, make it DawgWeek! I'm disappointed that Sentell & Emerson aren't able to stem the tide of the AJC looking for every available opportunity to shite on the program, as is their tradition.

He wanted to meet with CMR 1 on 1 and the hostesses couldn't even get ahold of richt bc he was busy with other recruits. Made him feel like he wasn't a priority for us.

Very good post from Lowiq... outside of Lowndes25 prolly one of the most connected UGA posters who's not a paid insider...

quote:

first off some news --

former dawg bruce figgins is now at carver columbus...great news for us there. we now have a friend on the ground for future kids.

former dawg rusty beadles is now working with a training group up around atlanta for young kids that is run by former dawg glenn ford....GREAT news for us in that area...william poole is one of his kids....rusty is right up there with george brewer as being an ambassador to uga.....think he said they have like 150 kids they are working with now....we wont get them all but as long as resty is working their we will have great access to all of them.

rashad roundtree is up to about 208 i think and looks great.....his strength is run support.

trent thompson is at 304 and looks really good....he is ready to play.

leonard floyd shoulder is right now so expect him to play much more physical this year.

jordan jenkins is around 255??? he actually played at 241 last year and even though he is about 10lbs heavier he actually looks slimmer and told me he has dropped his body fat %.

starting with the 2017 kids---

GREAT pick up with dee jay dallas...is he was in a media hot spot he would be ranked way higher.....he will most likely start at db.

once again my boy deante demery showed out.....i like our chances with him long term.....great kid to.

talked to the dematha head coach and anthony mcfarland...will be surprised if he doesn't commit to uga before the end of the year.....dematha is playing american heritage the second week of the season i think and they will be on espn...get to see tons of uga targets live....the dematha coach really seemed to like the uga staff.....a few folks might be scratching their head about dematha ol terrance davis visiting more than likely for the gala but a lot of the east coast hs up through maryland, new jersey ect play games on saturday instead of friday night. mcfarland has a great personality and very polite.

malik herring more than likely wont fit at uga...he is going to be a 4-3 de and unless he fills out might not fit what we are trying to do...doesn't mean he isn't a good player...just maybe not a great "fit"...right now clemson and auburn are ahead.

robert beal from norcross passes the "look" test as well as any kid.

talked to coach mcbride for a good while..he was at vidalia when my boys played for dublin and we were in the same region....alabama made a good impression of course but it looked like nate was having a good time visiting last night...spent a lot of time around jaleel laguins and then the new lb transfer ganus. i think we are dads pick and as it wears on that always helps.

william poole and leanthony williams both really like uga....didnt talk to either of them but resty filled me in......im telling you over the next few years in atlanta he will be a great help to us in the city.

saw gibbs and he is another good looking ath....didnt get a chance to talk to him but he seemed to be having a good time.

the 6-7 te from mass may be a 2018 kid...not positive but he loved the visit and couldnt believe what a big deal hs and college football is down here......he came ready to compete .....sorry i didnt get to see him when the stuff got rolling because i spent most of my time around the ol/dl groups.......there was an older guy with him decked out in uga stuff that MAY have been a grandfather that had a southern accent.....we may have a secret weapon there. i got the feeling if we pursue him we will have a good shot.....really hope he did well...always love a kid who WANTS to compete against top kids. probably around 230?? maybe right now but a frame to be 260 or so easily and sounded like he loved to block/play physical......if schott does plan on 2 te stuff he might be in our future plans.

ran in to jim donnan and spoke for a minute and told him how much uga fans appreciated him restocking the program and i think he really was glad....like him or not he roots for uga pretty hard i think....never will forget him taking the time to talk to richt about our current players/recruits ect after he had been fired.....he put the program ahead of his own hurt pride and for that i will always have a good feeling about him.

there was one kid there that just moved to brookwood from miami and was about 6-2 185 that played wr/db.......sort of an unknown i think...didnt play at one of the powerhouse miami teams but man he LOOKED fast standing still...told me he ran track to......told the site guys about him so maybe we can get soemthing on him soon IF he is in fact a potential prospect.

for the 2016 kids that arent committed yet--

demetrius robertson seemed to really enjoy athens....in MY OPINION he will end up here.

ej price was back again...seems to be mixed reviews on IF he can work his way back....there is no doubt he wants to play for uga.......guess we will just have to be patient and see if he can act right for 7 months and get back in or if the coaches have given up.

jackson does look like a stump.....hopefully we can secure most of his buddies and he will jump on late.

chidi okonya really looked good to....be interesting to see how things play out at olb.

a national kid that i hadnt paid much attention to but after talking to him think we have a good shot is the xavier kelly kid from kansas...he was with his dad who lives in savannah and i think he has legit interest in uga...he played at windsor forest??? i think he said in sav his freshman season. i have been around these things and the combines long enough to tell when a kid is just being polite and when he likes a school.....dont know where he falls on our board at olb but i think we can be a player here.

the coaches were all over the swain kid from florida......no clue where he stands but he got a LOT of attention from our staff.

spoke briefly with the wr and db from malek youngs school.....nice frames...no clue what they were thinking but seemed to be having a good time....if they are priorities having malek at school cant hurt.

mecole hardman is the best football player in georgia right now.....he is a faster terrance edwards.

have said it before and still think it....isaac natua has a VERY close family....VERY close....if his dad stays in gwinnett co this will be one to honestly monitor.....he did say that img place was amazing...after spending years at buford if another school impressed him it must be nice.

Lowiq part 2....
quote:

holyfield will be either uga or bama......will be one of those.

rashan gary seemed to really enjoy the little gang of players he was hanging out with...hard to read to much into that since he might like the little gangs of players at other schools to but from reports his mom will have a big say in this and she seems to think richt would be a good father figure......history tells me the mom and the hs coach are two MAJOR influences......no clue on the coach and i know one of his former coaches got a job at michigan but it SOUNDS like mom is ok with us.....NOT saying we get him but another one we may have a punchers chance with.

there were several more kids that were really impressive but i have no clue who they were...think they had about 700 kids......LOTS of positive buzz among the parents and high school coaches about schottenhiemer and sale......bobo was a great recruiter but unfortunately friend and ball werent so good...good position coaches but struggled recruiting against the big boys......looks like the trio of schoot, sale and brown will be a MAJOR upgrade in recruiting over the other 3 even though bobo was top notch....hopefully they will be as good in coaching to.

hopefully the site guys will be able to fill in some of the blanks/find out names/class year with some of the kids there that i have no clue who they are yet.

Then why was he singing the blues to the AJC this morning about not getting offered?

Haven't heard anything specific, but KD did tweet out that he didn't want to do any interviews about the visit (and not for bad reasons if you caught any of the videos of him freestyling to the beats Pastor Troy was laying down).

I think he got offered later in the night, after that interview. He didn't get the offer at DN, I don't believe. Coaches just couldn't get to everyone. Still, he's likely a UTk lean at this point so early in the process. Grew up a big UTk fan.

Good I'm glad he got that offer. It don't mean he will commit but it don't hurt to jump on him early.

Saw Eason and Demetris Robertson at Silver Dollar last night. And apparently there were 50+ kids at Bourbon

Hope they all had a good time.

Rashan Gary gave us a 10 out of 10 on his visit. Said he dosent have a leader all of the schools are even at this point. Gotta think hes still Michigans to lose.

Demetrius Robertson said his visit was the best one yet. Said we were tied for second with Bama and Stanford is still his number 1. Really would like to get this kid, but I can't knock him at all for wanting to go to Stanford.

Just a summary from the AJC articles on both.

He was offered yesterday. AJC probably went to press before the offer was made.
