Ya, I wear a 50L Sport a Coat and have a 36" waist. I find XXL and XXL/ long shirts that fit me. It's just that I don't have tattooes and I have enough decency that I don't feel like you need to see my arm pits in public areas. I still work out and am in good shape. When I work out, I don't get into a low IQ homoerotic episode of checking out the swell on my Asian tattoo in the mirror. To each his own. I choose to not be a deushbag...

Sounds like you need to buy bigger t shirts

Well I lots of tattoos, and don't walk around shoving my armpits in people's face. Just because you have a tank-top doesn't mean you have to show off your pits.

I definitely don't have any Asian, tribal, dolphin etc tattoos, and I have a full home gym. Even if I didn't, I wear tank tops to the gym because they are more comfortable. Judging people on what they wear and what tattoos they have is the epitome of being a douchebag.

No, I'm only 5'10 and I have a really short torso. If I go up a size in t-shirt then it hangs way low. A tank-top solves the problem.

Tank tops were all but relegated to the most red of rednecks by the early 90s...Then the tattoo craze picked back up... Then all of a sudden, everyone wanted everyone else to see their deep and introspective arm tattoos... That's why you wear them... Just admit it. We all know.... Unfortunately, as a by product, we not only have to look at your retarded arm 'art'...we also, as a bonus have to look at your nasty fricking pits.

We know why your wear tank tops. We also know it stems from the common selfish Millenial "look at me!" Mantra that dovetails nicely with the it is all about me attitude. Cover your arm pits son. Do it for America.

Haha sounds like someone is mad, just chill out old man.

I wear them because they fit better than a regular t-shirt. That's the truth. I don't give 1/2 shite if you like my tattoos or not. I don't want to look at your fat arse, but I bet you take your shirt off at the beach.

What is your obsession with arm pits, is it your fetish or something?? Also do most people around you normally walk around with their arms up in the air?? Because that's the only way you would see arm pits.

I have before. Don't see the appeal, especially once college is over. You can't go anywhere in one.

I don't wear them out and about on errands and such but I will wear a tank to the pool or the beach. And if you're at the Florabama in anything with sleeves, you're overdressed. So that counts too.

I'm in very good shape, but I do it for my heart and family. The beach is for poor people, but when we bring the boat to islands, I wear a long sleeve fishing shirt as it is without doubt cooler. If I do decide to take a dip, the milfs have to get in the water to hide their wetness... I'm just that good...

...but it is socially acceptable to be shirtless in swimming situations or at the public beach from what my poor friends tell me... It's just that the 'look at me, I got a bunch of douchebag tattoos" is what is driving this tank top crisis. Today, I am having to fly commercial and there are grown men wearing tank tops on the airplane. Thanks to baby Jesus they can't afford first class seats...

One of the criteria for being a douchebag is for a person to be completely oblivious and unaware of the fact that they are a douchebag.

So, when they defend tanks they are actually just agreeing with you about their plight. In a way.

Until recently, I have not worn a tank top since high school, a long time ago. However, I have started running lately and I recently bought one. It is much cooler than the t-shirts I was wearing, and more importantly for me, I like not having the sleeves flapping around. So I will be buying some more just to run in. I don't have tattoos or big muscles to show off. Nor will I be wearing them to restaurants or parties. But for running, or in Eason's case, throwing the ball around, I think they have their value.

But, how do you wipe the sweat out of your eyes then without being able to raise your shoulder to your face and absorb it with top of your sleeve?

Either you lift your shirt up to wipe your face and expose your gut to the soccer moms driving by....or you wear a headband. It's settled now. Tanks are unfunctional and douchebag.

Tattoos look nasty and, according to a University of Texas study, tattoos are strongly correlated with hepatitis. I have trouble trusting doctors and nurses and the is no fricking way I'll ever trust a tattoo "artist" with my health.

Wow. Almost three pages on the pros and cons of wearing a T-shirt over a tank top. Amazing.

I guess I am man enough to not be bothered by sweat in my eyes. Nor do I have a gut. My wife has some tissues I can send you if you need some.

Times are changing on this though. I work in business and 10 years ago I would have laughed at the very suggestion of someone covered head to toe in tats or those weird ear piercings would ever be hired into these types of jobs. Now, they are all over the place. Face tattoos and things like that are obviously different but people running around with sleeves and the like.......no such hiring discrimination anymore from what I have seen.

Even the military has loosened there tattoo stances.

I don't have tattoos just an observation.

No thanks. I'm willing to endure the .00005% Farenheit tempertaure increase that sleeves on a shirt cause. So, I'm good.

Something that undoubtedly proclaims douchebag is fashion policemen making posts of this nature. What an Insecure person you appear to be.
