...that involve coaching gossip. I can see a scenario where if there are no coaching changes Richt survives. I can also see support for replacing Schotty and Sales (sp?) because they've underperformed.

If Pruitt leaves....for any reason...I don't see how Richt survives. The Defense and his coaching style is the only thing most fans are optimistic about. The melt would be historic if he bails and I don't know what Richt could do to recruit a replacement or survive his exit.

If Pruitt leaves and we're left with Richt and Schotty I don't see how the AD doesn't just turn the whole thing upside down and starts from scratch. Problem is this will be a very competitive year for HC's and we'd be getting into the game late.

This is lining up to be a very tough year for the AD. Am in missing something?

Pruitt may leave on his own. Which I hope UGA gives him whatever in terms of money and resources to stay.

If they fire JP, the only reasonably excuse from a coaching side is if he is trashing/ complaing about the other coaches to the players. There is no excuse. If it's , he's calling them out in coches meetings behind closed doors, then they need to grow a pair. I still wonder if the time more a few weeks ago wasn't just BS from outside trying to screw up recruiting , with no substance.

Shotty, has been too conservative. But you can't put it all on him, we really have no QB; but my main concern is the Offensive line , they are really bad. They are the problem , the loss of Andrews is clear, but also Will a Friend leaving with MB is just as big a loss. We need to at minimum replace th OL coach.

If the apple cart gets overturned , and UGA goes coach searching, coaches will line up, it's just will the deserving ones. At this point UGA would be the clear #1 job on the table or # 2 behind USC Trojans.

Pretty much agree with all you said until here. I don't believe coaches will line up. We had a hard time getting a coach last time. Add to that, that I think Les Miles is gone at LSU and now we are at #3 behind USCw and LSU....at BEST. If Texas has had enough of Strong we will fall to #4. Strong has been at Texas now for 3 years (I believe) and not only have they not shown improvement, but they may have actually gotten worse, so a change COULD be happening there.

Good post

If UGA retains Schotty under any circumstance, 2016 will look A LOT like 2015. I don’t see any scenario where he survives.

This is only applicable if we decide to hold on to the staff for the bowl season. If ADGM waits until late December or early January, we’re fricked. You have to believe that the AD has a plan in place.

It will be interesting because Pruitt is the link holding the chain together. I say frick it, promote him to HC and hire a spread OC. Did you see the team surround him prior to overtime, while Richt was looking for the water girl? Pruitt probably told the guys, if we lose I’ll kill you and your family. Whereas Richt would have said I love you no matter what, just give it your best.

LSU has money problems; that will hinder their efforts to replace Miles, if they ditch him.

Poor hata, you obviously don’t having a fricking clue. You’re a blind sheep in a business of lions. Let’s keep Richt around so he can build character instead of a winning football program. This is the state of our fan base, conditioned to think Richt is a fearless leader. Richt doesn’t inspire anyone, look no further than the wasted talent for 15 years. Hyperbole or not, Richt didn’t gather troups, Pruitt did. frick you and your loser mentality.

Pruitt leaves and this program is toast..his defenses are pretty good, good enough to win the SEC East..

Yea, dude. I have so much to do with it. The team really feeds off of me kicking my dog every time we give up a 3rd and long.

Ask the folks in Knoxville how "If we build it" has worked out for them.

Maybe some of us remember what happened to Alabama, Texas, Notre Dame, Florida, Tennessee, Southern Cal, UCLA, Michigan, etc.....

and wonder why we are smarter than all these other schools and would not spend 10 years losing games and hunting coaches.

You DO know that the players don't choose who is going to talk to them, right? I mean, seriously? This is your proof that the players prefer Pruitt over Richt?

No. It won't. What is Miles getting? All they have to do is offer that.

Hint: If that is what coaches use to decide we are in trouble. Miles gets paid more than Richt.

Word without "googling" is that Miles would be owed $15 million. That would affect LSU's ability to throw money around like a hot potato....

If i recall correctly we offered to one or two other guys before offering Richt and were turned down. Or maybe I was thinking of when we hired Donnan?
