And let's not kid ourselves into thinking that Augusta is anything worth a damn outside of augusta national.

^^^this^^^

Being from there it's called DisGusta for a reason. Augusta National is like the diamond in the coal mine there. Especially the part of town it's in..let's just say around the corner is Weed St(real name) and that's one of the most sketch areas ive seen in my life annnnd it's within 500yds of the 13th tee at the National and Augusta Country Club. I'm from Evans, born in Augusta and Richmond County in general is brutal.

Amazingly this thread which started as an "attaboy" to a 21 year old that just won the Masters in record form disintegrated into an Atlanta vs Augusta vs the state diatribe immediately.

what i posted is absolutely true... not backpeddling. But people outside of Atlanta know exactly what buttons to push in order to get a rise out of them.

Don't fret none... just go back to reminding yourself you're home to CNN and Coke. It will continue to feed your overinflated delusion of grandeur.

Saying Atlanta sucks? Yea, saying that a place where someone lives is horrible over and over and over again gets a little annoying.

But keep patting yourself on the back for living in the sticks. You're definitely better than everyone else because of it.

i have a $750K home on the Savannah River...so if that constitutes "sticks" in your book, then congratulations... you should be patting yourself on your back!

It's a pride thing. People take the criticism about the place they live in as criticism of themselves for (usually) choosing to live there.

I agree - if everyone just realized the good and bad of where they lived and weren't so thin-skinned, this sort of thing wouldn't be a big issue.

This argument is stupid, as is making blanket statements about people because they live in a certain place.

Congrats, good thing you cleared up who is a douche and who isn't. Never thought I'd hear the day someone bragged about the Savannah River either.

Throwing out how much your house is worth on the internet to impress people you've never met. Feels good huh?

How do you protect your family from all the radiation from the Savannah River Plant?

Who was the one that assumed someone else lives in the "sticks"?

I simply showed I didn't. I didn't just throw that out there. Whatever.
