I don't want to go all Jefferson on everyone, but it was the yuppie Roswell, Crestwood, Alpharetta, Dunwoody crowd that led the whole..

"hmmmm...Tyler (female), should we make the kickoff?"

"Hehehe...Dillon...we haven't seen a kickoff all year"

"yuk yuk...hehe...yuk yuk"

I bet if we had a "4 free tickets if your parents were born in GA" promotion the fans would burn that place down.

That's true dedication and the kinda thing you would think that UGA fans would show as well given our tradition.

The UGa student tradition is to get drunk and act like assholes. There has seldom been a truly LOUD tradition at Georgia. Sure, there are some games, and there are some fans, that are true to their school, but most are not.
I've been going to Georgia games since 1964. I've seen a few really LOUD games, but not as many as some think.

I know for a fact that's what LSU does

I honestly don't know what the difference is between a cross section of USCe, Clemson or UGA fans who regularly attend games...but there is some difference.

I'm just trying to get at it other than just "we suck"

I think that's bullshite! I've seen sanford rocking and I've seen the Clem's Son fairweather fans leave it half empty. If the game was a night game at the hedges it would have been rocking. Schedule more night games and less day games in 100 degree heat. It's hard for fans to shell out 1000's of dollars for season tickets to see the same bullshite thats cost us 21 games in the last 5 years.

Mark Richt.....Doing less with more since 2001!

I'm impressed.

I was a freshman in 1964 and was living in Reed Hall. I went to all of the home games for 4 years because students got in for free.

I still remember the game that Gov. Lester Maddox attended and at halftime when he walked uo the steps in the UGA student section everyone stood up, lifted their cups and toasted him.

I forget what year it was but my favorite home game that I attended was when UGA came from behind to beat Bama 18-17. After the game I got to watch Bear Bryant lean up against the goalpost for several minutes in utter disbelief.

Going to those games made me a Dawg fan forever.

Go Dawgs!!!

I get why it may tick you off, but frankly, that's really disrespectful. It's one thing if someone is wanting to be lazy. When I have someone behind me that obviously has an issue, I do my best to accommodate them. That's somebody's grandfather/mother who has likely been cheering on the Dawgs since decades before you first pissed all over yourself outside the womb. One day, it might be you.

Don't be a prick for the sake of being a prick.

Not trying to be a prick. Far from it. But if it is that hard to do then don't go.

Will it be that easy for you to not go 30 or 40 years from now? If I'm being totally honest, you'd have to pry my tickets from my cold, dead hands to keep me from going. Be glad we have a tradition that dates far enough back to have older fans who are dedicated enough to make the trek.

I'm not saying there aren't some jerk-off old farts that might deserve a little backlash. I'm just saying be mindful.

Promise I've never been mean to an old person. I just hate sitting down at a game. I usually end up in the student section just so I don't have to. God bless the old folks, I just wish they could cheer a little louder.

We need everyone, students especially, to get there early and be LOUD
