Should tebow have redshirted? What about Jameis? Or Gurley? Stafford?
If you're THAT good, and by all accounts Eason is, you don't redshirt him if he can help you win. It's not like Eason will be battling against Stafford. He'll be facing off against a guy who had been extremely underwhelming in his 2ish game experience, and a guy who has never taken a college snap as of now. If we redshirt him, how much better off are we in '17, honestly? He'll still have zero game experience, he'll simply know the plays better. Big whoop. We need Eason to be playing early in 16 even if it's just getting some mopup at the end of games.
Do you recall how hard stafford sucked the first half of 2006? Despite his talent there's a learning curve. Unfortunately for him, he was thrown to the wolves out of necessity, but by the end of 06 the light came on. In 07 and 08 he was great. But how good would he have been in 2007 if we just let JT/Cox play all of 2006? It's a pretty safe assumption he wouldn't have been as good, and that's assuming he even would have played as much as he did (since in this hypothetical Cox would have a whole year starting advantage on him).
Elite, top 5 national players like Eason..you don't sit them on the bench. You play them early until they're ready to be unleashed.

When I posted earlier I didn't really understand redshirting. After reading a bit I've come to realize that even if the coaches plan to keep Eason off the field they could always burn the redshirt and play him if he becomes the best option. So we will not know if 2016 is a redshirt year until the end of the season.

True, but there really isn't any valid reason for redshirting him. Unless he just completely and utterly convinces everyone on staff he'll stay 5 years (which isn't likely), we might as well play him while we have him.

I think the coaches will play whomever gives us the best chance to win. It's really that simple.
And IF it is Eason, then I honestly just can't see Park AND Ramsey both standing on the sideline watching.
I mean if either one of them wants any chance in hell of playing in the NFL, they won't sniff it if Eason takes their spot the day he steps foot in Athens.
I really feel in my gut right now that Ramsey will be playing for a different team in 2017. Park will start for us this year and next and then enter the draft. And Eason will start 17 and 18 and be gone unless he wants his degree, but I doubt it.

Yes and I said the same thing in one of my earlier posts. Regardless of game experience, practice stats, etc...we should/will play whoever gives us the best chance to win games.

He's a Georgia guy and seems to like it here, but I think he's probably behind the 8 ball. His biggest asset right now is game experience. But I don't really see anything he can do on the field that Park can't do either.

Other than form a sentence...you're probably right.

you must not follow spring practice. He's 3rd string right now based on passing attempts

Find the flaw in any of the statements:
Ramsey will start the next couple of years
Park will be an all-time backup QB & graduate in Athens
Eason will enter the NFL draft after his redshirt junior season

It's not impossible

You're only going by the scrimmage stats that were posted. And because Park went 4 of 7 and threw less than Ramsey and Bauta, you think that means he got fewer snaps because he's "3rd string".
He handed the ball off more and had two plays over 70 yards from passing.
What you don't realize is that each of them had almost the same number of drives. Except that Park went down the field MUCH faster than the other two while also handing the ball off significantly more.
But fact is in practice, they are on a rotation. Each of them has gotten 1st, 2nd, and 3rd string snaps equally.

Now all we need is to find whoever left their semen behind and we'll be moving in the right direction.

Where does that put Chubb in the RB rotation? Hasn't he had the fewest carries this spring?
Posted on 4/6/15 at 10:40 am to SneakyWaff1es
Are you saying that Park has the least to prove out of all 3 QBs? because by using Chubb as an example, that's what you're saying
Posted on 4/6/15 at 11:10 am to DawgCountry
Why are you insisting that he's getting less reps?
Are you attending practices and counting them or are they being reported?
Because if all you're looking at is the scrimmage numbers, they are extremely deceiving and you're clearly misreading them.
From all accounts that have been reported, all 3 of them are rotating equally with the 1's, 2's, and 3's.

I'm saying no one here knows anything but what's on the internet. The few that do have ties to the team probably won't say shite because every time they do and they're information is wrong no one lets it go. Park looked the most prepared in the one game I saw them both play in with the same personnel against the same defense. That also means jack shite.
Long story short...who the frick knows? Richt has a good track record with quarterbacks. He'll make the right decision.

First, that wasn't in response to you soooo....
Second, I edited reps to passing attempts which is what I was referring to
I am really glad Park can had the ball off, but since he has considerably less passing attempts than both Ramsey and Bauta I feel pretty confident that the coaches know what they are doing by giving him less attempts in the scrimmages
