Me too, Me too.... This guy is an athletic freak. His game reminds me of Price's from a few years ago but 2x the athlete. I think he's gonna contribute from day 1.

I think you might be spot on with that comparison. He will be a player. I like him cause he is a great rebounder and defender at that level and a very raw offensive player. Think he has a lot of potential to develop.

BTW... how is Jackson recovering. I see highlights where people are saying he was a 5* top 15 player. After injury, he kinda landed in our laps. Is he gonna be good to go next year?

He is 100% healthy. Wouldn't call him a top 15 guy but for sure top 100. He is a stud, Will help as a combo guard right away.

I was on the coaching staff his 8th and 9th grade year. Special kid. As good of a work ethic as any athlete I have coached, has really improved and has great basketball IQ. Really looking forward to his career in Athens.

Do you think with the Jackson, Gaines, Mann, and Frazier. Add in a improved Maten, that this team next year might be improved? I think it could.

It just might. To me it all comes down to how much Maten improves and how ready Ogbeide is. Our backcourt should be terrific. Hoping maybe Forte can develop into more of a 4 man and save us a bit there or an incoming transfer.

Love Marcus Thornton, very good player but I think Maten can be just as good. My only concern is replacing Nemi, his ability to space the floor gives this team a lot more options, we could miss that.

Some random writer from Yahoo thinks UGA will be first team left out of the tourney. He is saying a Wyoming win will push the Dawgs to the NIT. Not that it really matters at this point

Then he's fricking oblivious to how the tournament selections works EVERY frickING YEAR. Wanna know the secret? Just read down the RPI ranking for all 68 slots.

We have a top 50 RPI and top 50 SOS. We're in the NCAA tournament. Period.

I've honestly never heard of the guy, but his Twitter bio brags of awards and being the bracketoglogist at Yahoo. We'll see tomorrow. It would be some shite for Fox to sit Gaines only to get a NIT bid.

Seth Davis from CBS also thinks we are out. I definitely disagree but it still is making me nervous. I know they probably haven't watched us much until today where we looked awful. Then they focus on our zero top 50 wins and zero wins against tourney teams.

That is a major concern but if you watched us enough and saw the injuries as well we have to be in easily

Damn. That would be some shite with lunardi having us as a lock.

I didn't think we would make it 4 years ago and we got a 10 seed so hopefully the committee loves us

I agree, really think we are in, but will feel a lot better when it is announced. We were last 1 out for Lunardi 4 years ago and ended up in safely, problem is that year we had several quality RPI wins.

Hope the committee considers the injuries, our 8 roads wins. Plus Ole Miss is 53, Vandy is 101, that is 4 more top 100 wins just a spot or two off.

Yeah a couple of hours ago I was worried about having to maybe be in the playin with little rest. Now I'm gonna be happy if we get a bid. I mean I trust the vast vast majority of people who have us in but I'm surprised to see an expert or two call us out

I felt the exact same way. Hope Fox has a better feel for it than the couple "experts" who aren't as high on us. Once ESPN put us up as a lock I didn't really even think about it until seeing these guys say it and looking at the numbers.

Many sources are projecting UGA to be a 10 seed. I think that's a good choice for this team.

I agree, I think he'll be great and will contribute early.

Really think we need one more quality post to offset losing Marcus and Nemi.

I really agree with this. Maten, right now, is the lynch pin. Ogbeide should be a solid option, but is unproven. Iduwe we have to hope can come off the bench to contribute minutes. Forte has been inconsistent but has shown flashes of being a good player, I'm not sure we can rely on him to be in the starting 5 next year. So, all that said, we REALLY need to bring in another solid post player.

People are very much underestimating losing Djurisic. He did some brain dead things every once in awhile but he really did make a huge difference in stretching the court and he was really difficult to guard.

Nemi stretching the court and helping pass the ball is the biggest loss going into next year. You basically got a preview of that yesterday with how bad he played, killed our offense.

Just read an article where LSU is in and we're on the bubble

How do we fall from a lock 9 seed to out?

UCONN losing helps all the bubble teams.
