If he's healthy I like it. Ideally we could beat SC and Ark to hop up to the seven seed.

Maten is going to be an all conference player. What a performance.
Really liked seeing Gaines and Mann gut it out, really gutty performance.
The quick 14 hour turn around and our guards being banged up is really a scary matchup against the Arky pressure. Not a great matchup tomorrow but nothing to lose or us now. A win would be a signature on the resume, a loss and we rest up and are solidly in the dance.

I saw where we might be getting a commitment from another Michigan player. He knows Maten. Any info on the guy?

Edwards, saw a little film on him. Not near the strength, size or SEC readiness of Maten but has some decent athleticism. Looks more like a Dante Williams to me. No other major offers yet but supposedly Oklahoma State and Arky are close to offering. If so I feel a lot better about it.
and no Kenny tomorrow. Could get real ugly in Nashville but I think it is the right call to hold him out for the NCAA tourney.

Dasher is reporting that Gaines "tweaked" his foot but it feels fine and will play. Could be good news. IDK

So, just looking through uncommitted prospects for this cycle (I admit I don't follow basketball recruiting that closely), but are we making any sort of effort to nab Shawntrez Davis? He's an in-state, 4-star, 6'8" PF. . .basically exactly what we need. I see that 247 has him listed as "warm", but all the CB's are for MSU. MSU is fricking terrible and we need some damn bodies in the post. Seems like a logical fit, if you ask me. Anyone have any insight on how we'll round out our class?

No we aren't going after Davis at all. He has academic and off the court issues, has never been a serious target for us which is too bad.

Still in it for Jaylen but will be a long shot. The Edwards kid from Michigan most likely. We are his first major offer, guess oklahoma state and arkansas are close to offering him as well which would make me feel better about it.
I'm really hoping we get lucky and can land a senior transfer who is eligible immediately. All our perimeter guys will be back plus Turtle, think Maten could be an all-conference guy eventually and I like Ogbeide. Really think we need one more quality post to offset losing Marcus and Nemi.
