They finally made it through the fence to the other yard. Only to find the grass isn't all that green. In what was probably our best recruiting year in our history most of you wanted our HC fired. You got your wish.

But do I hear a celebration, or whining. I have faith in Kirby, but I think this sets up back at least 3 years, as predicted.

Hope I am wrong. Maybe Eason will save us...if he comes to UGA.

Y'all need to work on setting realistic expectations.

And I am like 98% certain that you hope this all blows up just because you want to be the little prick who said told you so. And because you are an alter.

Bit early to go full on chicken little.

I'm still pissed Pruitt wasn't retained but I'm not calling it an all out disaster. This just aint the best day during the rebuild.

I still 100000% think UGA made the right choice in both it's hire and firing of Richt.

It was always going to get worse before it got better. This was never going to go smoothly

Unfortunately, my expectations are becoming very realistic.

Am I the only one who thought Hocke did an outstanding job this year? He brought the same type enthusiasm I thought for the most part our guys were in terrific shape. I don't think I have ever seen a CMR DL move like ours did this year.

I will say I would have welcomed Cochran with open arms, but I don't think it's the biggest loss in the world.

The sky is falling! The sky is falling!
Someone in the coaching field can vest in a state retirement system? Hell yeah he's going to stay to vest. Coaching changes happen all the time - you don't really know from one year yo the next if you'll have your job.
We lost some recruits. There's a real shocker.
If only we just got a new OC. we had the best class ever Dream Team, Part 2. - Jefferson was going to post a selfie of him holding up a bulldog puppy.
Of course there are going to be shortfalls, but we had to make a change. Frankly, it's better to have done it now than later. Look, we went after one of the best S&C people in the game and we gnash our teeth that we didn't get him. Do you realize it wasn't until a few years ago that we had the film guy in charge of S&C?
All of this "I miss Richt" stuff....if you really want to feel nostalgic, go on down to the Gator Bowl and relish in the low level, close to home atmosphere. Tickets shouldn't be hard to get. Those types of bowls were our future had we stayed the course.
I for one will take the uncertainty of the future rather than certain mediocrity.

Maybe he took one look at Chaney and decided he didn't want to star in a re-run of The Biggest Loser.

Who really expected him to bolt he's been with Saban since Grad school at LSU... S&C is a science at Alabama and was a hypothesis under CMR. Kirby will get the right team in place with plenty of consultants on the payroll.

And I always expected that. My problem is that I start posting and talking before I recollect myself and realize the situation Georgia is in. I told everyone the same stuff when this went down yet I am dumb enough to keep getting my hopes up.

What the heck is with all the nega-dawgs?? We don't get an S&C coach and y'all are melting?? Our coach now is pretty damn good. We have had a few decommits, but tbh they haven't been that important. The possible commits have been MUCH better and Kirby seems to be killing it recruiting.

What the heck would Richt do?? We would still have squatty, and we would win 9 games next year, rinse and repeat. I'm ready for a change, Kirby may not be perfect but I for one am glad to have someone who will actually show emotion and not be complacent.

We had a chance to hire head coach, but passed.

Absolutely.

But whether KS is the right guy remains to be seen. I think hiring this fat frick at OC really threw everyone for a loop. We already were banking on recruiting setbacks so we really can't melt too hard over that.
