I really thought this whole Kirby thing was going to be the shot heard around the CFB world. Now I'm wondering if we would've been better off just canning Schotty and focusing on a home run OC hire for CMR. I know I'll get dogged for saying that and I hope I'm wrong. But it does kind of feel like that to me.

Meh. We got Hocke who is an Alabama disciple already. Kirby already knows him and he's in place.

Our coordinators are gone.
Three guys decommitted.
Our head coach is sharing an office at Bama with our old defensive coordinator.
OUR PETS HEADS ARE FALLING OFF.

Well dam....let's hope it's just for a year so he can be fully vested in the State retirement system. Or that once CNS leaves he comes on over.

But dam....

Yeah you got to figure that even if he locks his retirement in at 10 or 20 percent or so of his current salary, that's a sweet retirement check one day. If it works that way.

The analogy might be better than you think at this point.

The dude is a year from being able to collect retirement as state employee in Alabama. He was never coming this year. Some of you amaze me. We have a new HC for a friggin week and don't pull a SC coach who would be throwing away 100s of 1000s if he made the move and some of you are ready to shitcan the program and proclaim Kirby a failure. Unreal.
