I don't know what the huge deal is where I'm from if u are defying police orders the way he is a beaten is going to happen. The cop may have took it too far but he wasn't cooperating.

It's hard to be on the kid's side when he pushes the cop away and says "Get off me bro".

Seems excessive at first look, but I've had to beat on my buddies harder than that to get them to understand things when they're drunk.

Jesus Christ

I feel bad for the kid but the constant "bro's" make it somehow funny.

Look, I'm not some SJW who always looks for police brutality. For the most part, I agree that if you don't obey a lawful order, you should expect to be handcuffed and, if you resit, an arm bar or a body slam (in more extreme cases) is in your immediate future and there's no one to blame but yourself. Cracking a drunk kid in the skull repeatedly with a billy club, though, is ridiculous. shite, pepper spray would have been a better option at that point. You're talking about some potentially serious, long lasting damage that could have been sustained by the kid.

Basically, I think it's pretty fair to say that more training is needed for most police forces across the country. It seems like the go-to method of suppression in most cases now are either beating or shooting.

Obey the police and cooperate or accept the consequences.

Looks a little excessive and based on the stated reason "hangin at the HD and not being a registered guest then not leaving" seems minor until he refused to obey.

Got what he asked for....

Pretty much the issue with all these black lives matter folks. They are militant and trying to make a point when the point should be "do right" not treat me right when I do wrong.

Fat out-of-shape donut-eater pig is too incompetent to be able to do his job properly.....So, he loses his shite at being "disrespected" and attempts to crack a kids skull open REPEATEDLY while he's lying defenseless on the ground.

Kid is a dumbass, but frick any of you who support this incompetent psycho piece of shite.

Maybe you, or your kid will be the next to be killied or paralyzed by one of these criminals.

You can't possibly be serious. Just because you have a badge doesn't give you the right to beat the shite out of someone. When the kid is down and holding his head and then the guy continues to beat him is completely uncalled for.

Yea he knocked the shite out of him with that club and he peppered spray him at first. The kid was not cooperating but the cop was clearly out of shape and took it too far

dead serious.....

The video does not show a clear view of the blows and where they landed. Must not have been too bad he was standing by the police car.

There are quite a few charges here .... fleeing, resisting, being a dousche

Show some respect when being questioned by a police officer or face the consequences.

That's stupid. Respect is earned, not given. If you're the kind of cop that reacts like that, you don't deserve my respect.

For the crowd defending this scum, is there any incident where you think police have gone too far? Has a policeman ever made a mistake in their reaction?

I had relatives who love to call themselves "small government advocates" who defended the cop who shot the kid in Charleston 8 times in the back. They couldn't see the irony that "small government" types need to keep their eye on police behavior more than anyone else.

If you're a statist, sure defending the police in every single circumstance is logical. Just please don't call yourself "small government" then fail to critique this jackass for beating the shite out of someone because they felt like it. Obviously this isn't as extreme as the Charleston case, but there are some policeman that go overboard consistently. I suspect many of them were picked on in high school and now is there chance to get back at the world.

Not sure if that was directed at me, but I wasn't defending the cop. Far from it.

then prepare to be beaten.

It's pretty damn simple. No matter how badass you think you are, or how right you think you are, or how dumb you think the cop is....if you just listen and follow the directions that a police officer is giving you, you are going to come out of the situation FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR better than if you choose to act like some josey wales hotshot.

Pretty much. Just don't act like a dickhead and you won't be treated like one.

No doubt this is the case, but it shouldn't be. That's the point. When their instructions violate my rights, should I still follow them?
