Yesterday we were good enough for a two TD lead. Then Chaney saw that the offense was clicking and thought it a good idea to change things up. I think he overthinks. Tech could not stop us inside the tackles consistently and we had a huge advantage in TOP. Given that scenerio, run some toss sweeps if you want to make adjustments. Why has Chaney abandoned that play? The int that killed us was not a safe pass and one that this freshman QB should be asked to throw, given his tendency to overthrow. KISS.

I got there (apathetic) in 2010 after years of letting my weekly fall moods be effected by UGA football. I don't do that anymore. I have 4 kids and I wife who deserve more of my affection and interest than a football season. It was always that way.

You should wait and see how he does next year before talking about firing him after a season that hasn't even started. He may go 0-12 or he may go 12-0.

The point is we don't know yet. How about letting things play out before playing hypotheticals two seasons in advance.

I predicted 7/8 wins before the season started. I saw many other fans predicting 8 wins.

Just because most delusional UGA fans on this board picked us to go undefeated and win the east doesn't mean the realistic fans didn't see this coming .

When you think about the 2012 SECCG, the 2013 Auburn game, this year's TN game, top it off with the Vandy game and Sat, has this been the most difficult decade for Dawg fans? This shite hurts.

I'm apathetic as frick. It sucks going through life depressed, angry, frustrated, and fat.

I'd rather just be fat.

Hate to say it but count me in the apathetic crowd. As this season has progressed, I have cared less and less. I am still a DAWG fan but we are what we are...a second tier program and struggling to remain a second tier program.

I am....I chalk it up to getting older but the fact that we haven't looked good in a significant game in so long I can't remember it has a lot to do with it (I know someone will come along with a game we looked good in but they are fewer and further between).

I just don't care anymore....I managed to miss the entire UK game (I did record it and watch it later with no idea what the score was) and didn't see but about 30 minutes of the Auburn game this year.....and except for the South Carolina game in 2007 when I was in intensive care (I watched the game but I don't remember doing it) this is the first season since I was 7 years old (44 years ago) that I didn't spend at least 5 hours or so a week watching, reading or talking about UGA football....and to be honest it is kind of liberating....It just doesn't seem to matter as much.

I can remember us losing to LSU one season (Dooley was still coach) and my being physically ill for 3 days afterward.....now we lose to Georgia Tech with time running out and it has become so common that I don't even try to listen to a post game show or get online...I go tinker in my shop like it was not even football season.

I know a lot of this has to do with getting older...although my Dad is pushing 80 and he couldn't wait to get me on the phone Sunday and dissect the game LOL....but I personally just don't care as much as I once did....

Eh we just have to find the right coach. Maybe Kirby is that guy, maybe he isn't. We are however sitting on a state full of talent and the school has money. The right things fall into place we can become an elite program.

I don't think the attitude of our administrators or fan-base has changed much over the years.

We are what we are and have always been....a second tier SEC team....fighting like mad to drop into the bottom of the conference. Had Herschell not signed with UGA I don't think Sanford Stadium would need more than 70,000 seats. We won a lot of SEC championships back in the day when there were 2 or 3 teams claiming that title....we have never been that good. Even lowly Georgia Tech was a true national power at one time....we have always been just a medicore program with medicore talent. The difference between the Dooley years and the rest of our history is Dooley's team won occasionally when they shouldn't have.

Our fanbase is also a problem....I have been to the Texas / Texas Tech game two years running (don't ask....I would have bet money against it but it happened). Texas Tech has never won a damn thing in college football...they don't even pretend to play defense...and there fans never sit down and never shut up during the game no matter how badly it is going (I have been to a couple of other games in Lubbock as well...again, don't ask...). I have also been to lots of SEC road games....other than Missourri and Texas AM there is not a SEC stadium I haven't been in....and the same is true there...but for some reason most of our fans are more interested in talking about the doings back in Hahira and Blue Ridge than what is going on on the field....we are LOUSY as a fan base...when Texas Tech fans are more involved in a game where they might as well not even put a defense on the field than we are in a close game with a heated rivalry you know you have issues.

I also know for a fact that if you have been to more than a few games in Sanford Stadium you have heard someone tell someone else (or you possibly) to sit down and be quite....I have seen it so often it doesn't even register anymore.....you always have a bunch of folks who have bought or were given tickets sitting in amongst season ticket holders...and the people who are there for 1 or 2 games a year are there to be part of the crowd...and the season ticket holders around them are there because they got nothing else or nowhere else to be...and would prefer everyone sit down and behave....you don't see this as prevalent in the rest of college football....it is this attitude that allows UGA to stay mired in mediocrity when it is the flagship university in a state as talent rich as any in the nation....

So, if Georgia is 7-5 the next 2 years, what should we do? Give him a raise, or say,

"Hard to get too upset when a third year coach with a third year QB perform almost exactly as expected... shrug"

No one has said that we should be happy if he goes 7-5 in year 3.

The hyperbole on both sides of this argument is maddening.

I think most of us on here expect at least 3-4 L's this year.

Some on here seem incapable of leveling any form of criticism, even when it is blatantly obvious. The excuse of having a first year QB is such a tiring argument, that not even Kirby Smart agrees with. He said,

"Smart, who has talked about how this team has relied on young players all year, wasn’t having any of that discussion afterward. Sure, there are a lot of freshmen and sophomores contributing for UGA but Smart pointed to the fact that 12 games into the season they should be playing more like veterans."

Do you really think that will still be the case if we still suck after 3 years?

During preseason predictions nobody predicted 5 losses, and it is possible we end up with 6. But, of course, we have no OL and a first year QB. Look up the statistics in our losses and i think, except for one gaame...the OL was not the huge problem. Except for the Florida game, we averaged 400 yards of offense in our losses.

No, I don't. Would you honestly believe we have people incapable of leveling any kind of criticism at the coaching staff after 5 losses. Losses that in many cases can be traced directly back to the coaching staff?

Hey...if you've been paying attention, you should have noticed that I have praised the coaching staff on many occassions, particularly the past 3-4 weeks. The team showed improvement those weeks.

The pass play against GT, though? And coming out of a time out? that was horrible and cost us the game, probably.
