No, I don't. Would you honestly believe we have people incapable of leveling any kind of criticism at the coaching staff after 5 losses. Losses that in many cases can be traced directly back to the coaching staff?

Yes, because the honeymoon phase is a powerful thing. I also think people have quietly held criticisms but hold those in for awhile to see if UGA can work through them. I'm somewhat in this camp.

Very strange year, all in all. I never sensed much enthusiasm or excitement around the stadium all year long. The closest it came to being UGA football was the second half of the Auburn game.

Yes, it is. And I also think that anybody that would call for him to be fired is off their rocker. Also, if anybody wants to call his hiring, at this point, a disaster or even a mistake would be wrong to do so.

The team, at times has shown improvement and has made progress.

However, I also believe in criticizing mistakes when they are made. Especially glaring ones that cost games. The pass call against GT was awful. less than 4 minutes left in the game you do not throw a pass. Not when you are only 6 points behind. You are looking for trouble...and we found it. It is made worse, since it was coming out of a timeout. The coaches had plenty of time to think about it.

Less than 4 minutes left? You run the ball two more times taking the maximum amount of time to run the plays. If we have to punt, they get the ball around their 20 yard line with less than 2 minutes on the clock. GT is NOT going to pass the ball effectively when everybody in the stadium knows a pass is coming.

It was 100% poor coaching.

I have no problem with people holding off with their criticisms. I DO have a problem with people harassing others for NOT holding off on their criticism. I still think we made the right hire and we will show big improvement next year, though.

ETA

Got to thinking, and I wanted to make sure you knew I was not talking about you. I am talking about those that want to tell people who criticize they should be Tennessee, Auburn, Florida etc. Fans.

Not true, I had us at 7-5.

outside of a brief lull in 12/13 I became apathetic in 2010. Maybe that's not the best word....I still care greatly and follow like I used to, but it just feels different inside.
