I love this game as I think its a great litmus test for our young team. Win or Lose, the good news is we are going to find out what kind of team we have here.

I am personally expecting a 7pt margin of victory. If chubb is healthy and ready to go, the guy is gonna get 200 yard if they let him.

My score: Dawgs 28, UNC 21

It could be a close game. In fact, I'll be shocked if it's not.

Could be a high scoring close game, I agree. I think if we hold them under 30, we should win.

No but not the point.I was pointing to an example of another blowout prediction.
Still have no idea what the OP
is talking about in regards to
"A lot of folks picking UNC"

As stated earlier I think we win by a TD.

Fedora has already stated he does not expect UNC will have to punt against the dawgs, we may have to put up 60 plus just keep up with this unbelievable high powered O. LMAO.

No way UGA beats UNC by 3 scores and holds them under 24. Their offense is much better than your giving credit and we're not as good as you are crediting. Too many unknowns. 38-35 or a 31-28 which will ultimately become a pick em'

USCe held them to 13 last season. NC St. scored 34 on them. They have no film on us, most folks here don't know what our O game plan will be. I'm taking a few hints from spring and seeing how they're bringing Eason (who I think will see a lot of PT) along. Depending on our health at RB, we'll spread the ball around a good bit, TEs will be busy. First game of the season that's a big advantage for the offense. We'll score lots of points, control the ball, and win big in the 2nd half. Just MHO.

I believe they had 3 redzone turnovers in that game (maybe one was just outside?)... the score was a bit misleading compared to how they actually played.

Can honestly admit I didn't watch the game, but giving up 34 doesn't matter as much when you are putting up points easily. You play the game differently. They scored 45. That same NC St team put up 41 on Clemson...

We'll score lots of points

You (and all of us) hope.

control the ball

Dependent on step 1 going according to plan.

Maybe?

Again, I think we *can* win the game, but you're supposing a lot of things that just aren't givens. "Not knowing what our O game plan will be" does not automatically translate to "we will have an effective offense". Sure as hell hope we do, but the idea that we can expect to win by a landslide here is just farcical. We may very well do so, but the expectation should be no more than a 7-10pt win and a still very real chance of not coming out on the winning end of it.

I've been wrong before. I was wrong twice just last year, which was one over the previous record. But I think the Dawgs come out strong in '16. There's a lot of new excitement, emotion, and hunger coming into play. I think the Dome will be an electric atmosphere for UGA.

What game was that?

And, they still came down 100 yards per game. They showed a LOT of improvement, and I expect them to show even more improvement this year. But, I didn't say they were competent.

ETA

Ah! Baylor. You are right, a really good, competent defense would not do that. But, Baylor was a VERY high powered offense. And, as i said....they improved by 100 yards per game last year. I think they will improve on that this year. I could very well be wrong, and all of you could be right. But i am not putting this game into the easy category by any stretch.

That happened with absolutely zero threat of a passing game. Baylor basically told UNC what was coming based on the personnel they put on the field and UNC could do nothing about it

Not sure how you've come to that conclusion given the fact ghat CKS hasn't even coached a game yet.

Isn't this the opposite of what's generally considered true?

2014 first game of the season: UGA -45, Clemson - 21. I used this one because '15 was a cupcake.

Offenses have a definitive game plan and defenses have reactionary, adjustable plans, depending on how their offensive opponents perform. Cheney will have a ball control, spread-it-around scheme and, if successful, UNC's D will be on the field a lot. UNC doesn't (can't) have any film on us and we have lots (Baylor) on them. Advantage us. I think we win pretty big.
