Saw that. Felt awful for that poor guy. But it was funny.

I had a bad dream, that the Astros were falling down right before the finish line......

Really young team. Many of the pitchers are pushing way beyond any inning count they have ever pitched before. This is going to be a great rivalry going forward.

I am not believing the collapse of the Astros. However with the home stand coming, I wouldn't be shocked if they went 9-0 or continued the pitiful performance. This team is so night and day home & away.

It very well could play out like that. These last two weeks are going to be some high drama. The Twins don't seem to be slowing down any at all either.

Milo Hamilton passed away.
This is the first sports player/broadcaster/coach I can remember passing away that was a big part of my fandom. The only other guys that come close are DK, Jose Lima, and Cami, but they were not in the spotlight long enough for me to feel a "bond" with them.
I always say put a blue star on that one or Holy Toledo when I see a great play.

When Mark Holtz passed (our longtime announcer whose coined phrase was "Hello Win Column!!") I felt the same way. Also when Johnny Oates passed it sucked. It is funny how we become so attached to the personalities associated with our baseball teams. I can't think of another sport that engenders that type of connection.

I still listen to Mark Holtz calls on YouTube.

Basketball.
Probably because of the sheer amount of games announcers of both sports end up calling. Hard not to develop an attachment.
Got to meet the guy who calls the Spurs games last year and I was just as excited to meet him as I was to meet a former player.

I can see that. The other pro team for me that I have the most connection to is the Stars. And I think it is because of the number of games.

These last two weeks are going to be interesting. Still a lot can happen between now and the end.
