That seems a little far fetched. Now no mod has deleted it. Sounds to me like he's fed up with 247 and willing to let something usually deleted or locked stay there to make 247 look bad. Taylor dug his own grave with Parker and now Chigbu.

What does this mean? They were vocal supporters of the move? They have some juice in the decision to leave B12?

One of our regents dropped scoop to the owner of TA during realignment. He was very much pro-SEC but wanted to get the fans riled so he filled them in on anything tu did in particular that would get everyone enraged. The place was on fire for a month or more

They were among the first and most vocal proponents of a conference move (or so it seemed). While the rest of Aggieland at large was still somewhat on the fence, TexAgs went all in for supporting going to the SEC.

Idk how much actual sway was involved, but the grassroots campaign was definitely ignited by the site, IMO.

Fighting TA, even if you are right, is a bad idea. Too many fanbois that will side with TA no matter what.

TA was the leader in making the fan base 99% acceptive to the change

Yeah I had friends and family who were completely against the move before it blew up on TexAgs.

There were actually a lot of us who wanted to be in the SEC long ago. So while TA might have fanned the flames they didn't have to convince a lot if us.

I was too young when the big12 was formed to really grasp the concept of conferences, but as soon as I heard wind of the potential for us to join the SEC, I was completely on board. Just made all kinds of sense to me.

Only thing I was slightly sad about was the potential of losing the texas game, but seeing the way they were handling themselves made it easy for me to quit caring about that minor detail.

They are still providing it. They can't help it and just have to talk about their non rival (their words) A&M.

Back in 2011, Texags essentially took a fanbase that was 50/50 on the SEC move and turned it into on that was 95/5 in favor of it. They did this by leaking inside info being provided to them by inside AD sources who were for the move as well as info about all the things Texas was doing to try and stop us from making the move.

Texags unified the fanbase behind a hatred of Texas' arrogance and a love of all the promises the SEC as making (like the Network).

Their AD as literally kicking and screaming about us not going anywhere unless they let us. We basically told them, the Big XII and the state legislature to go frick themselves and called their bluff.

This email, although incendiary, really isn't a big deal imo. Miscommunications are a constant in the recruiting world. But it being released reflects poorly on A&M and Chigbu will get asked about it because it will certainly get back to him and that does nothing but put a bad taste in his mouth about A&M. Just dumb.
