Phasma should've been that stormtrooper wrecking Finn's shite with the space-mace

Yeah, that would have been a lot better, actually.

I expect Phasma to have a bigger role in VIII. I've heard people guess that she's going to go rogue and go after Fin.

My only real issue with the movie is this:

Trooper FN-2187 refused to fire his weapon and kill the villagers at the beginning. He was then asked to have his blaster inspected. It was noted that this was his first instance of non-conformity. I've never been in any military group, but I feel it's a bit strange that immediatley after they are suspicous of him, they have him escort the high profile rebellion prisoner (Poe) all by himself. Fin shouldn't have been on escort duty, and he definitley shouldn't have been on escort duty by himself. When do prisoners of value ever get escorted by one guy? Much less a guy who is suspicous.

The movie had a very different feel to it compared to previous installments. It was much less formal, for lack of a better word. The humor was very cheesy, but not necessarily in a bad way. BB8 is a BB Badass.

Overall 8.5/10

He wasn't on escort duty. He was on "I'm escaping and need a pilot" duty. He went rogue. He was supposed to go in for reconditioning since he failed in the field.

So who was escorting Poe? Poe wasn't just walking around the station by himself. I believe Fin was escorting him and he pulled Poe to the side and said "I'm doing whats right"...

Poe was locked in the torture chair and Fin came up to his guard and said something to the effect of "I've been ordered to transport this prisoner to ...."

Fin was acting as his escort in order to get Poe to fly him out of there. Fin set Poe free.

Going to see a B movie again huh?

I went Thursday night, went again Sat but some saw the first few minutes, and I just bought tickets to take my dad next week for Christmas.

Anybody else think Fin is at least Force sensitive? I think he may be Force trained in the coming movies. He sure seemed to draw Kylo's attention in the village slaughter scene (kinda like Vader when he sensed Obi Wan on the Death Star) We also know he went through an awakening and went against his brainwashing/programming.

He may have just drew his attention because there was some dumbass trooper who didn't do his job.

I don't know. It sure seemed like a knowing pause. And Fin was positive that he could be "seen".

I am not saying your wrong. I don't know.

I hope they don't get all wrapped up in who is force sensitive and who isn't. Its okay to be a badass and not a jedi. Look at Han & Chewy. Leia has the royal jedi/sith bloodline yet she was always portrayed forceless badass rocking skimpy clothes and choking out fat huts.

2nd time around was better

Much More enjoyable now that I am over my initial high expectations not being met

At the very end they spend a lot of focus on Rey's and Luke's eyes, they are very similar.....

From the eyes of my little girls

9 year old: Han and leia must have gotten divorced, and that forced their son to be so angry that he went to the dark side

My 7 year old went nuts when she saw the falcon, shouting "it's Hans ship!"

I think most of us did this.
Maybe quieter than a 7year old though.
