Hamm is also pimping Devonta Burns in light of recent news. I will believe it when I see it

I agree. The problem with all the others is exactly that. When you hear Sumlin repeat over and over how amazing Trey is with the ball in his hands, it's not a compliment. I was told White is the best at blitz pickup

I think Brandon has to catch better and run better routes to play. He's never going to be a great blocker so his best bet is to be the guy that comes in and we can mix and match with 4 or 5 wide.

he's in that Ok drill video (#26). He's got a new life with a new DB coach and he did actually see the field on ST last year. Hope so but I'm with you, when the guy actually plays a snap I'll start paying attention

Devonta Burns looks like he wants to play this year. He made Tabuyo his bitch each time. It didn't help that #19 was way too low off the snap, but Burns was the first one through each time.

Sumlin's post-scrimmage presser LINK

- talked about the safety situation and while he didn't mention anyone but Burns by name, it sounds like the 4 that will likely play will be Matthews, Honeycutt, Raven and Burns. Did specifically mention that Deshazor is staying at corner for now
- talked about OL and JUCOs. Gramling got a lot of love
- AJ Hilliard could play any position
- WRs are cross-training at multiple spots right now and they'll likely settle on where they go in the fall

Scrimmage highlights

Couple of notes on def depth chart

- Raven/Matthews are starting at safety
- Burns/Honeycutt are 2nd team
- Justin Bass is running first team WLB
- Mastro in the middle, Washington at SLB
- 2nd team LBers are Baggs, Chevis, Hilliard
- think Ivan is out but DTs are Zo and Walker then Manning and Zay

Looks like Tra Carson is the main RB in this offense.

Kyle Allen throws a pretty ball. All the QBs need to keep the ball down longer on the PA plays

Here's another goofy Kyle Bridges interview with Mike Matthews

If anyone knows Kyle, please tell him to quit smiling so much as it creeps me out. And ask shorter, more open-ended questions. But mostly just stop the creepy smiling

Can Burns play up close to the line? He's like 6 ft 215 I think. Raven isn't a total disaster and I feel like can improve so hopefully Burns can take Matthews spot. We really need a pass rush to step up though. That's the only thing that will solve our problems short term
