There's still a possibility, albeit a VERY slim one, that this team could go on a run similar to the one the 2006 team went on.

Currently 10-8 (2-5). 6 of the next 11 games are in the "should win" category. 3 are in the "can win" category, and the other two would immediately boost the resume if we pulled them off.

Well that freaking sucked. Congrats on the W today. Your team never gave up and took advantage of every gift we gave y'all at the end.

Just finished watching on delay, how the hell did we pull that off?

Today is the perfect example of why I defend BK. How is he supposed to coach up our mistakes. Coach guys to make their lay ins? Tell them not to trip their teammates? Run better sets during free throws? Everything still points to TIRED players.

Happy to have the win though

Through practice.

If it's a weakness, you focus on it in practice.

Didn't watch the game, but it seems like plays are drawn up wrong if players are tripping on each other. Something you can definitely fine tune in practice by focusing on posture and awareness.

Again. Coaching.

Again, I haven't watched the past three games, but it's sometimes easy to confuse sloppiness with tiredness.

Do you think we're not practicing simple lay ins or free throws? Seriously. Answer that question.

there are problems that go beyond kennedy, like missed free throws and admons (continued) misses in transition that could have been the difference in the game.

But look at our last offensive play the last two games. who gets the ball? hogg. against arky cant buy a bucket yet takes a step back 18 footer. ballgame

today we let him drive the ball (where he either gets rejected, turns the ball over, or gets fouled and goes <50% from the line). this time was only sheer luck that he missed so badly williams was able to grab the rebound and get the put back.

Really didn't spend much time there. Left later than I'd originally planned, and after the brutal ending to the game we headed out pretty quickly.

I've been to C Stat before though and I'm sure I'll be back again. I was surprised at how empty the crowd was. When I think of the A&M crowd I think of 2006 against Texas with arguably the largest student section I've ever seen at a college basketball game. I guess that speaks to the disappointment of this season.

Basketball wise, your team struggles because there is no PG. Your interior guys have great touch but are freaking Charmin soft. I think there's a ton of talent there though and I expect you to be back in contention for the SEC Championship next year.

sort of, but we have lackluster support for hoops even when we are good.

i only watched the 2nd half but today was a bit of an aberration for davis and williams. those two are usually warriors but trocha and hogg both wear maxi pads.

maybe one day we will play you guys in football.

It's all about technique. A good coach can see deficiencies and try to correct them. Are they doing layups and free throws during "practice"? Probably. But are they working on improving their technique and motions? Probably not. Look at what Palubinskas did with Shaq. Practice should be more than repetition and a hope for the best.

That would be nice, hopefully both our teams are good when it does happen. An SEC Championship game would be fun.

Let me start by saying I think WVU is going to completely dominate us.

Now on to why I posted. I think this team still has a run left in them. The SEC isn't good and we have the talent. I think we're better than our record and wouldn't be shocked if we finished out something like 18-12 (10-8) going in to the SEC tourney.

kennedy brought up a good point after the game. we've led well into the 2nd half of every loss except kentucky (and arizona). not a moral victory, just an observation as to why i agree that we could easily make a run.

The schedule actually sets up well for us. Five of our last 10 are vs LSU, Mizzou, and Vandy. We also get Auburn and Bama at home.

Win those 7 and then pull off a huge upset in any of @WVU, @UF, @Arky, or UK and 1-1 or so in the SECT and we're 20-12 with an RPI at around 50 (I used RPI fcst, picked @Arky as the win and it's exactly 50). I think that would put us in.

So there's a chance. It's pretty fricking remote but there's a chance. They probably need to do something crazy like win Saturday to get me believing though
