I've been through lots of layoffs and rumors of layoffs. Those are scary times. Glad you survived! Playing it safe, especially during uncertain times, is very understandable. Good luck!...
Man said money is tight, leave it be
I'm with RC. The hyperbole about the economy made it seem like a convenient excuse. It probably would have been ignored had he not made so many comments through the years about his donations and his salary. As with his comments about football a...
recruiting isn't the best

I and most rational people will probably wait for him to coach some actual games before judging him either way
And a complete cycle or two of recruiting. Unfair to judge a HC on a December class when he just got hired a few weeks earlier and...

Agreed, we can use a vacation from your pessimism, it's long overdue!
Hope you leave Eeyore on the beach and come back refreshed and ready to enjoy some football....

Possibly, but I don't recall seeing it. I read pretty much everything on our board and I think I'd remember that. Lobot's last posts were on 4/27/22. They...
Thanks for sharing! I often wondered the origins of his handle, Finest First, and how he ended up in Vicksburg. Now I know.
I first encountered him on another board. Always seemed like a great guy. Sounds like he lived a blessed, meaningful, and impactful life. My condolences to you, his fam...
Players end up flying into fans
I assume you were just making a general comment about fans sometimes flying into the seats because of the closeness of the action. That's a very true statement (I had a player land on me once), but in this instance, O'Neal went from getting pancaked o...

Wow, like RC, I was expecting a reinstatement thread, assuming he went off on the rant after the LSU game and got banned. I was not expecting a eulogy. What a punch in the gut! How tough "suddenly taken" must be for one's family and friends. Just another reminder of how precious "today" is.

Back in the day, they would have heard their names called, but now the draft has "only" 20 rounds, it's a bit tougher. I thought the CWS might have improved the chances Palisch would get picked.
I think Claunch may get passed over, but I'm guessing someone will pick him up and they'll be happy t...

Farme4, thanks for the write up. Normally, I try to prep a bit before the draft and follow as the draft proceeds. However, I didn't do any prep this year and barely had time to follow round 1, so I appreciate your homework!! Thanks!
Happy for the guys who got pick...

Palisch was money. Alas, the bats never arrived. Not the ending we wanted, but this team surpassed all expectations. Respect!
Looking forward to bigger and better under Schloss in the years ahead....
