Of course, we also had Kirk Merritt transfer in. Not sure if his future is at RB or WR, though. But if staff sees him as a RB, that's another addition at that spot.

It'd be nice to get 1 quality back this year. It's not a huge position of need though and we won't take two if we have other guys who want to commit at other positions that are more depleted. Thank you Trayveon #FreshmanAllAmerican

Lost in everything about the LSU UF game is that Anthony Hines is supposed to OV to UF this weekend. Perhaps he reschedules but doubt he takes the trip this weekend
ETA And just as I posted that apparently he's looking at coming down for our game this weekend instead of going to Gainesville per 6 Figs

This whole arguement reminds me why I backed away from recruiting news. Neither side is ever happy.

It used to be such a great annual thread too. Oh well, hopefully a couple good seasons will get us back to the 2013/14 threads and all the fun on signing day. I'll be back in this shite if we ever get there.

Killing the fun in the recruiting threads is why "Malik" is the new "Corey Nelson" to me.
And I know that is the exact kind of butthurt that ruined the fun but Aggies should be able to forgive Aggies for intentionally lacking self awareness I think.

During the Sumlin radio show they talked about recruiting off of evaluations and not ratings.
I believe this group is pretty good at evaluations. They recruited players like Etienne, Humphrey, Johnson, and Netherly early before they started getting a bunch of "hype". Unfortunately we lost these guys once a bunch of other teams started showing them interest.
Btw...3* DT commit Jayden Peevy was just invited to the Army All American game. Posters on 247 say the kid already has 9 sacks this season.

The director of recruiting for 247 (Steve Wiltfong) posted in a thread about Peevy on the A&M board that he likely jumps into their top 247 when they rerank. I think we were all aware how good he is but it is nice to see him get that kind of recognition

I believe he had already decided not to visit before the game was cancelled, in favor of a less risky, later date, TBD.
