So preseason I thought Walker Pennington would be one of our best bats and help carry the offense. Instead, he missed a good chunk of the season because he just wasn't productive and he hung around the mendoza line.
Since regionals began he's batting .353 with 3 runs scored and 4 RBI and what might be even more impressive has been his defense. He's made a couple spectacular catches in LF. So to a SR who gets at least 2 more games keep the hot streak going.

He's a senior so this is it for him.

Oh, I probably would have got it if you'd had an a in front

I think I did, but then autocorrect switched it to an "an" and deleted it. shite tried to fix my grammar too.

despite such a terrible average, pennington still has impressive HR and RBI #s. id much rather see him at the plate with RISP than homan

Going back to May 6th, the final game vs MSU, Homan is 3-48 since. That's .063 Avg over 14 games. No extra base hits. 1 run scored. 3 rbi. Yikes. It is probably too late to move him to the bench (moving Shew to SS and a freshman to 2B).

Shewmake trying to sneak into the Aggie record books.

Pennington possesses the power to go yard.
So he's got that going for him, which is nice.

I also hope we see the Texas Aggies jerseys in Omaha. Those are a great look.

Also Orioles!
Baltimore has drafted 2 A&M signees already. Adam Hall (60th) & Jack Conlon (128th). Alex Scherff just went as well (161st). I would assume Hall is gone. Not sure about the other two.

i kept up with college ball last year and thought A&M, L'Ville, and Florida were the 3 most talented teams. unfortunately L'ville, and florida returned most of that talent whilst we did not.

I was surprised to see so many freshmen on the list.
Baseball seems like the one sport where a freshman can really be productive for a team, even more so than basketball.

Because skill is more critical than strength and athletic ability
Why some don't consider baseball players true athletes
