I'm posting this because I suppose you don't realize but constantly whining and asking for pay info is fairly counterproductive.
It's a discussion board. It's just a bunch of Ags sitting around talmabout Aggy sports. But who seeks out a conversation with someone that adds nothing to the discourse and does nothing but whine? How often do you pick up the phone to call someone who has nothing to add but begs you for info?
I can't speak for others, but I find myself reading this board far less than in the past because this is the direction of virtually all the threads. I open a thread and it bores me to read this crap so I close it and leave. Just let the fricking discussion flow man

I'm not tmc, but I feel like chiming in anyway...
That, like so much else in the current recruting landscape hinges on how well we do this coming season. We're in limbo, which is why I think recuriting currently sucks to discuss.
Early recuting has died off without Mack Brown stoking the furnace, the big names are largely waiting until later, A&M has lost the momentum of the Sumlin hire, the SEC move, and Manziel Mania, we had a "meh" year last year, and we now have to put up or shut up on the field to get respect.
So yeah, while it's good that we get the OPPORTUNITY to show out becuase so many guys are waiting, it also makes the natives restless while the 3*s roll in and we watch programs like freakin' UH get recuits like this. BUT, the problem solves itself if we perform this season. The decision of so many to review A&M with hesitance, combined with the decision of so many to view UT with loathing, is what's giving UH an opening right now with their dynamic, exciting coach, who has a great pitch. If UT wasn't seen as a cesspool, they'd have comitted there. If A&M wasn't a "wait-and-see" program for everyone right now, they'd be ours. Our situation is resolvable though, whereas UT's isn't, so, win the dang games and guys liek this will flip.

Think it will be Chris Daniels from Trinity for one. Then we're looking at a lot of SDE prospects some of which will grow into DTs. Chavis prefers long, athletic DTs (he loves KeKe). If you look at LSU's DT depth chart it's a lot of guys that were listed at SDE our of HS (LaCouture some may remember as he was committed to Sherman as a 3-4 DE).
So while we obviously like guys like Oliver and Elliot, it's not really a huge issue as we are in on quite a few guys we like about the same.
The guy I was told Chavis is working really hard on is Emmit Gooden from TN. While he's listed at DE I think he's probably a DT longer term. I don't think we're going to get him but I believe he's #1 on our board.
Anyway, I don't think they are sweating DT recruiting much. We took 2 very good ones last year and have a nice pipeline and I think we'll probably end up with 1-2 good ones and a DE or two that may grow into one.

But we're whining about the whiners in hopes of reducing it to improve the quality of the board. Some are bitching about our team and lowering the quality of the board. No need to get any deeper into it. People with post how the damn well please.
