He's a week to week kind of kid. If we have a decent year with defensive improvement were def still in it.

Derrick Griffin is going to visit Bama -__-

He's decided to stay close to home and stick with TSU. Obviously, the issues with his academics were still too much to overcome along with transfer rules in the SEC. He could have taken both summer sessions and got the credits needed but he's not going to pursue that at this moment. Probably a good time to officially close the book on him.

Originally thought this class was going to be special but it is no longer looking that way. My best guess would be that we have a class between 12-17 nationally when all is said and done. Thoughts?

So another disappointing class.

We don't know that yet. What happens during the season matters a lot.

Way too early to come to any conclusions right now.

I'm joking. Sort of.

Pre-melt is a real thing, and it's always there...just beneath the surface.

It will be top 15 guaranteed, depending on how the season goes could climb quite a bit.

A lot of the kids we're after won't be deciding for a long time. We're in a great position with almost all of our top targets.

We will get some momentum rolling again pretty soon. Next possible yessir would be https://247sports.com/Player/Mark-Jackson-37489

Greedy Williams could commit soon as well. If greedy does, there is a good chance Cj Morgan Walker flips to the good guys as well....

If that happens we'll be set at corner and likely only take one more, between a couple high profile targets( end of the year) or some top end JUCO.

The staff is pretty confident in making a run next year, so I think we may end up going after a JUCO corner no matter what.

I feel yeah, but this year is a different ballgame. Last year all the drama was in December, this year the closer we get to NSD the hotter it gets.

Which is how it is supposed to be. Mack really messed with Texas for a while.

Georgia picked up 5-star DL Julian Rochester today. We offered, but we were never in it of course. My point being if it sticks to NSD, they're going to have a seriously potent D-line in 2016.....the year we're supposed to contend for it all. Just thinking out loud a little bit here...

A lot of people getting antsy that were probably not leading for Brandon Jones anymore. Cancelled yet another date to come down for a visit per 24/7 *sigh*

We have a camp coming up with a lot of nice prospects coming through. Will be interesting what comes out of that.....

Brandon jones already has a roommate line up, he's a silent commit. Not a huge deal to not visit when his buddies won't be in and settled yet when he knows he's going to be there a lot more.

We really do. We've lost a lot of recruiting momentum. Winning the first game would be big for us but the recruits will start to take notice if we can once again knock off Arkansas and then the Alabama game will be huge. We win that one (trust me, not only do our coaches want this one bad, but our players are itching for it too) and we could once again see that momentum and hype similar to the Johnny years. Good things are on the horizon. We just have to be patient

Which is really really hard sometimes :/

Kyle Allen will make us the "cool" "it" school again very soon. RSJ and Speedy are going to be TD catching machines

Made the top 6 for two talented California prospects... Who is responsible for our west coast recruiting?
