I'm really loving this. It is great to be making moves as a national recruiter. Take the cream of Texas + a few national 5* guys and it will mean the Ags continue to pull top 5 classes for years to come.

I didn't know we were even looking at Harris. I live in KY and UK is my other team. I will catch a lot of grief if we stole him. gotta get him in on an OV.

For 2015, rick deberry, Cassius peat, Roney, and I think Corey dauphine even though I'm not sure about that. This weekend seemed more like a 2016 thing. Kendall, malik, and Kris should be here next weekend

Several '16 recruits were here -- the Elsik trio, Monroe were here yesterday, and Kam Martin snuck in Friday.
'15 recruiting is slowing down. We have a max of 9 spots left. We're saving one for Merritt, Sheffield, Malik, Kirk, 2 of Elam/Boyd/Hill, and 1 OL. That's 7 of the 9 spots. Most of those guys are not ready to announce just yet but we feel good about the situation. We're just getting each in town now to tour the new facilities, visit practice, see Kyle, etc.
We're continuing to recruit guys like Deberry and you take him all day but honestly there just isn't a lot of room for non-superstars which means very little activity.

I think once the season starts, things will pickup a bit. Some unknown gem or 2 will pop out of the woodwork like Frank Iheanacho did last year, and really the big targets left are all 4-5 star defensive backs who seem like they're daring each other to commit first in order to get that domino train rolling. It's making Taylor Hamm look like the world biggest cocktease every time he thinks it's going to happen and it hasn't. *smirk*
How far we come as a team this season is also going to determine how strong we finish out this class recruiting wise, especially defensively. It'll be fun regardless, and I can't wait for the season to start, win or lose, rain or shine.

Probably not even news but Jamile Johnson decommitted from the land thieves today. Wonder if Terry Joseph/Sumlin are interested? After all, he is a Texas kid, and a high 3-star...
