Green: I hope so. I'm tired of the mediocrity and strange OOC losses we've seen.

Remains to be seen whether one of our sure wins becomes a loss to offset the victory in Baton Rouge

Yea I know. That's why I was complimenting you. Good, esoteric reference.

This team's confidence seems to be growing. They looked prepared today.

Sigh. I can't believe we are celebrating 'Receiving Votes'. This heavily reminds me of Aggie football 2007.
But whatevs.....Receiving Votes

Call me an a-hole, but I'm convinced this is all Stansbury. For 3 years, our teams never improved over the course of a season. If we sucked against press or zone Ds in game 1, we sucked against them in game 30. Then we were woefully lacking in fundamentals, rarely had gameplans, and were routinely outcoached during games.
Then suddenly, Stansbury comes on board, and we don't have the WTF non-conf loss, we actually get better at things from game to game, and we cobble together a decent frontcourt out of Kourtney Roberson and Tavario Miller. I'm not saying it's Stansbury... but it's Stansbury.
Whatever. Sure it's weird that the assistant coach is more accomplished than the HC, and that he might be calling the shots, but if it works I don't care. Going forward, Stansbury can do coach things while Kennedy does folksy "I'm a god-fearing, good ol' boy" things and loads up the roster with talent.
And this year, we need to go on a run and make the NCAA Tournament.

Agreed.

Oh I know. It's incredibly sad. But given the state of our program the last few years...

I'm in agreement with this. Supposedly Stansbury reached out to Kennedy to come on board. Frankly, I don't care. I like the improvement we have been seeing since Alabama. Let's see what we can do tonight at Auburn.

I saw a tweet that said a sports journalist/analyst from Knoxville ranked us at #24, which is where our 2 votes came from. Guess we must have passed the eye test this past weekend

I guess, but its also year four and he finally has his players so...

As I've painstakingly pointed out in many a thread on this board, at every stop Kennedy has made it has taken a few (4+) years to get things rolling, but he always has. All the players and incoming recruits have nothing but beaming things to say about him, yet no one can give him credit once things start looking up?
What would it take at this point to give BK some credit beyond Stansbury getting fired and us maintaining momentum?

I remember when we kept getting pissed we were 6th because that meant we would lose a game that week. It was automatic.

No. There were a lot of things he could have done much better during his first 3 years that were entirely independent of personnel, and he didn't do them. For example, it doesn't take 4 seasons to teach players to have good -- or hell even average -- fundamentals. Yet we never got close to average during his first 3 years. Then suddenly we hire an assistant coach, who was fairly accomplished as a HC, and things very quickly start to turn around. Yea, that's most likely largely due to the new guy.
I mean is it possible that Kennedy was trolling the shite out of us because he enjoys the "4 year turn around king" mantle? I guess, but the first seems much more likely
