2014-2015 Basketball season outlook

Since we're starting this shite early now that the football team has decided to end their season in October:
Nonconference Wins: Northwestern State, One of the PR tournament games, New Orleans, Sam Houston State, Youngstown State, Mercer, Hartford
Nonconference Losses: One of the PR tournament games, at Baylor, Kansas State (KCMO)
Nonconference Tossups: One of the PR tournament games, Arizona State WON BOTH
Best case: 9-3
Worst case: 7-5
Most likely: 8-4. We'll find a way to lose a game we'll have no business losing at home for the fourth straight year and win all the rest of the ones we're supposed to win.
Conference wins: Mississippi State, at Tennessee, at Ole Miss loss, Georgia loss, Alabama loss
Conference losses: Kentucky, at LSU - WIN, at South Carolina win Florida win, at Florida, at Arkansas
Conference tossups: at Alabama Loss , LSU win, Missouri win , at Auburn win, Vanderbilt win, Auburn win, at Missouri win
Best Case: 12-6
Worst Case: 5-13
Likely: 8-10
We are too talented to lose out, but coached poorly enough that we will lose some extremely questionable games (like Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Auburn, Georgia, and South Carolina from last season). We're not going to win in Fayetteville and we're not going to beat Kentucky or Florida.
Verdict: 17-15 (8-10). Basically the exact same result as each of the last two seasons.

I wouldn't put @Ole Miss as a win. Summers is expected to average 18.1 ppg for them and he's better at home.
Experienced teams like that don't lose at home.
But I'd also put LSU and Vandy home games as conference wins for you guys.

The Rebels boast one of the most experienced teams in the SEC, with a league-high five seniors led by returning All-SEC performer Jarvis Summers. Summers is the SEC active career leader with 1,233 career points and 370 assists.

Kennedy is winless vs Vanderbilt.

For the non-Aggie fans who are the players we should be on the lookout for and keep an eye on as the season goes along, in your opinion?

I agree with your analysis, with one wild card exception, and that is Rick Stansbury on this staff. Perhaps we'll see some in game adjustments we have not seen and get a couple of extra wins. This includes not losing a game we should win-an indisputable fact which has occurred the last 3 seasons.
I have just a tad of optimism here in October. We'll know more soon enough.

No way A&M should assume @SC will be a conference win. They split the series last season and SC hammered the Aggies in Columbia, where the game will be played this year.
Not to mention our incredibly young team started playing together and finished the season relatively strong. We've also put together some respectable recruiting classes. We're not going to be in the top 4-5 of the SEC this year, but we should definitely be improved, middle of the pack NIT type team. In any case, would I be surprised if the Aggies won? Not at all, but I wouldn't mark it down as an automatic W for either team.

Agree. It seems ridiculous to assume any conference game is a win after how we played last season.

Well, I wasn't going to pick 4 wins or less because we can herp derp our way to 5 wins with the talent we have.

So far, we've won both of the games I projected as tossups, none of the games I projected as losses, and all of the games I projected as wins.
Worse case nonconference record is now officially 9-3.

I have no idea why you chalked up KSU as an automatic loss, they are 4-4 and weren't expect to be anything special this year.

It's in Kansas City IIRC, hardly a neutral site.
Plus I made those picks in October

Yeah I stopped posting game times. Nobody really gives a shite, sadly. A rather unremarkable win today, but house and jones were lighting it up.

People will care more when they are conference games and televised.
